Chiming in a little late here but.....make sure the cart is aligned properly with the atomizer. On the 510, if you look down by the mesh bridge,you'll see a little white ceramic piece in the shape of an oval. If you look at the mouthpiece to a 510, you'll notice it's the same shape. This is how it should be lined up.

I agree Ringo. I used to get a bit of melting on the tips and keeping the cart and atty aligned correctly has stopped this completely!
