I am sure that someone has addressed this issue before, but I could not find any threads on it.

I have been dripping a lot on my V2 and loving it. The original 901 that come with the unit went out (zero ohm Short) after 50 or so drops. I ordered 2 new ones and one of these has gone out again after about 50 - 70 drops.

I drip right at 2 drops to refill. I have to admit sometimes I can be a bit long- winded on some of my drags keeping the throttle down for over 5 seconds at a time. Because of this I have even purchased a Stainless Steel tip from super-T as to not melt the plastic tip that comes with the PS attys.

At $10 a pop + shipping this is getting expensive. Perhaps this is just like any high performance machine - unreliable and very expensive.

Do you think being a lead foot to causing these attys to blow? Or is this just the lifetime on a 901 atty powered by 5 volts.?

I put 3 or 4 drops in there and always keep it wet. You should be almost flooded all the time. just keep the little air hole pointed up so your juice dont escape when working with the freshly loaded atty.

The higher voltage of 5 or 6 volts can cook the excess juice no problem. you may have a little gurgle in there, but there is a fine art to tilting your pv when vaping a almost flooded atty.

I rotate atty's I got about 3 that have been going more about a month. I use one about a week and then grab another one from the rotation.

I cant remember the last time I popped an atty.

Oh now I remember. I popped 2 801 at 6 volts. I had never used them before though.

I just toss the under performing ones in a box, I hope to soak them and clean them some day. but grabbing a new atty from my stash is to easy.

Good luck, and they wont last forever. If you get a month out of one that should be about right. They should last forever at 3.7 volts though. although the vapor will be less and less as it gets gunkked up.

Here is my .02...

I also use the 901's and love them... I used 510's for a while and since I have changed over I have never looked back...

No onto the question... I have a 5V PT-VP with a 901 adapter and I vape it at 5V (via wall plug) and I have no issues at all with the 901's... I vape about 5ml of juice a day and the last 901 (recently deceased) lasted me almost 2 months.. I take a good 4 second drag on the VP-PT

I recently received my Protege and take a good 6 second drag from it.. No problems with the 901's yet on it...

I only drip and have not used carts for a while... The T-Tips are awesome and you will love them!

I drain my atty's overnight, every night... 1st morning vape I drip 4 drops. After that I do 3 drops to keep the atty wet....
