I am sure that someone has addressed this issue before, but I could not find any threads on it.
I have been dripping a lot on my V2 and loving it. The original 901 that come with the unit went out (zero ohm Short) after 50 or so drops. I ordered 2 new ones and one of these has gone out again after about 50 - 70 drops.
I drip right at 2 drops to refill. I have to admit sometimes I can be a bit long- winded on some of my drags keeping the throttle down for over 5 seconds at a time. Because of this I have even purchased a Stainless Steel tip from super-T as to not melt the plastic tip that comes with the PS attys.
At $10 a pop + shipping this is getting expensive. Perhaps this is just like any high performance machine - unreliable and very expensive.
Do you think being a lead foot to causing these attys to blow? Or is this just the lifetime on a 901 atty powered by 5 volts.?
