It's totally up to you and what you want and need to do. Me, I want out of the addiction and the control it has over me, so I decided to wean off of nic.

I've been weaning down on nic. I went from 24 to 18 to 12 all in about 3 or 4 weeks. Was easy. After 12, I had to mix the same flavor juice at different levels to wean down a little more slowly because the flavor was just too off, at first. I vape mostly 0 now, but am finishing up some of my 6 mg nic juice, periodically. When it's gone, I will not reorder anything with nic. Then, maybe I'll work on breaking the vape habit.

I think that's a personal decision.

I vaped using 18mg for probably 18 months. Within a month after I quit the smokes completely, I was down to 12mg. I'm pretty content here right now, it's my sweet spot. It's enough that I don't get those anxiety moments but not so much that I feel super dependent on it.

I don't know when I'm gonna drop another level; if I'm going to drop another level. Time will tell. I'm staying at 12 for now :)

Eventually, I would like to get down to zero nicotine. I don't think I'd ever completely give up vaping though. If I'm at zero %, My dream would be to go all day without vaping, and maybe just vape 0% at night when I'm relaxing. I envy people that don't have a nicotine addiction. And hopefully some day I'll be one of those people. As far as cutting down, I think think the best procedure would be as follows.

Make sure you are comfortable with the level you are currently at.

Make a decision to cut down. But only cut down one level at a time.

When you do cut down to a lower nicotine%, vape as you normally would. Resist the urge to vape more. It will take about a week to adjust to the lower nicotine level.

Stay at that lower nicotine level as long as you need to. Don't try to jump down too quickly. Make sure you are comfortable with the level you are at before dropping further.

Keep in mind, I've never actually followed this procedure. I'm a new vapor myself, but this is my plan. And I think it's a solid one. Any comments on this plan are appreciated. There may be a huge flaw in it. I don't know. But I'm curious as to what people that have been through it have to say.
