When you first started vaping did you think you needed a PV that looked like a cigarette?

Since I started vaping:

  • I am still using and loving my analog replica.

  • I am still using and loving my analog replica, but have other larger PVs that I use as well.

  • Within a week, I "drawered" my analog replica PV for a bigger battery.

  • Within a month, I "drawered" my analog replica PV for a bigger battery.

  • I wish I never spent the intial money on the analog replica, it was a waste of money.

  • I have a PV that is resembles an analog, but it has a larger battery.

  • To heck with anything resembling an analog.....I suck tailpipes now!

I didn't really care if my e-cig resembled an analog or not - my very first e-cig was a 510 knockoff I bought it out of sheer curiosity, so price was my biggest concern, then I moved up to an eGo because I wanted something with a better battery and finally a Reo because I wanted an even better battery and less hassle.

When I first made the switch and I was trying to get as many people on board it's a comment I heard a lot though: I want it to look and feel like a cigarette. I can understand this logic to a certain extent but isn't performance and reliability more important that "look and feel"?

Personally I'm really grateful for my Reo, sure it looks a bit odd and a lot of people probably think it's some kind of crack pipe and it's certainly not the most convenient device to carry around (then again neither was my eGo case) - although when I leave the house in the morning I know for certain that I won't run out of liquid, and my battery won't die on me.

To each their own I suppose and ultimately if an analog looking e-cig is what does the trick then cheers to that :toast:

+1 on this poll being skewed.

"did you think you needed A PV that looked like a real cigarette"

Some of us really do. I'm so sick of people bashing small cig like PV's. Yeah it's no mod, but just because most of us eventually move on to something bigger eventually when we finally kick the smoking, doesn't change the fact that these small devices are remarkable for those having trouble Quiting.

I don't know why so many on ecf feel the need to try and make those of us that enjoy our small PV's feel stupid.

Maybe I just had a really bad experience, but my analog replica was a complete ripoff. I loved it at first, so much so that I sent the company an email that they wanted to use in their testimonials, but it just didn't do the job and I thought it was something I was doing wrong. The highest mg they offered was 11, listing it as "red" strength, they claimed their prefilled cartridges were equivilent to TWO packs of analogs, and they charged almost $14 for five cartridges. The final straw was when I reordered cartridges (being a newb I had no idea that you could refill) four out of the five didn't work, the fifth worked on one batt and not the other! Had I been more informed I never would have gone that route in the first place.

Read posts on ECF for 3-4 days(and nights) almost straight(maybe more), after a buddy
at work told me about his friend that quit smoking using blu.
He told me to google blucigs.com.

Fortunately I came across ECF before placing any orders.

Figuring blu would run the best part of 100 bucks with poor reviews
and the Provari was on sale for about 160.00 with stellar reviews, well......

I decided to skip all the beginning and intermediate learning/costly steps
and went the Provari route.

Yeah the initial start-up costs were quite high but have a bang up mod with
lots of extras. A huge financial commitment helps keep me "all in" with vaping.

The Provari is actually much smaller than the pics make it look, 'bout as big 'round
as a quarter and shorter than a pen.(without the cartomiser).

Not the size of a tailpipe!

No vote here!

I started the boyfriend on an analog lookalike from a local mom and pop smoke shop. The auto batteries failed within a month of use. He went back to analogs for a little while after that. Then we moved on to the slim Joye 510 batteries with blue LED tips. Those lasted much longer, but the battery life was lacking and the atties leaked. Recently, we purchased the eGo type batteries. These have been the most successful for the boyfriend to quit the analogs. On the other styles, he'd still smoke a few a day (mornings, after meals). Since the eGos got here, he hasn't had one in a week.
