I got my protank II today and it seems to be working okay. But I was just now looking at it and you know how both the protank mini and the evod have three little air holes on their head base? Well I don't see any air holes anywhere on my protank II. It also makes a whistling noise when I vape like air is perhaps being sucked in from an unnatural place. Are there suppose to be air holes or is the protank II a completely different monster?

Look just above the 510 threads on the base. You will find teeny little holes there. Some of my devices don't work well with the protanks because of these really small holes. If you screw it on your battery and the draw gets really hard, you can enlarge the holes with a 1/16" drill bit and greatly improve the situation. The other air intake is the hole directly on the bottom of the positive connector.

Thanks. I see the air holes now on the screw part that connects to the battery but it seems the battery on the outside and the head screwed into the inside block these holes. I will have to wait until the tank is empty to take it apart to investigate further. Odd design. Seems to vape though.

a) What are you powering it on?
b) Don't over tighten.

The 510 side hole design is time proven. It is the same as Cartomizers and other 510 devices.
With the coil head out of the base, check for any drilling slag(Metal) caught inside a hole. That might explain whistling. Also hard draws may cause it.

An ego-c twist. Yeah now that I know at least where the air holes are I can be aware of what's causing any problems. Thanks for your help.

I've found that some tanks work better on different APV's than others.

My PT2's are a little tight (less air flow) on my Provari's. Too loose (too much air flow) on my Vamo V3, and innokin 134, and just about right on my Kamry K200.

So on the devices where it's too much air draw, I use an air flow controller.

I can only tighten the draw with this, not loosen it (perhaps I just haven't figured it out, don't know).

What I'm trying to say is, I use the PT2's on some devices, and not on others. On the other hand, my innokin iclear 30's seem to work just fine on all my APV's. Go figure. I'm really lovin those iclear 30's.

best regards, larry mac
