I received my Wire Welder 2 today. It was in the mail system for 28 days. It looks very professionally done. I don't have a battery yet to try it out, but I'm sure it'll work great. Some are still available for anyone interested and don't mind the mail from Mexico may be a little slow.

I've had orders from Germany not take half as long. I could drive down, pick it up myself, and drive back home in less than a week.

This may be a dumb question but are these being used for dual coils for instance a Innokin i16?

There are no dumb questions, just some dumb people who don't ask questions.

The iclear 16 does need to use non resistance wire attached to each end of the coil, so yes, a wire welder could be used to join the non res. wires to the res. wire.
That being said, the iclear is rather difficult to rebuild, it seems not many people are doing it. It's a cramped space to get the four wires into and the non resistance legs have little plastic sheathes over them so the wires don't touch anything they're not supposed to. It could be put together probably without the sheathes, but you'd have to be confident in your ability to keep the wires from shorting.

If you want to give it a shot and the iclears are the only thing you would use the welder for, I would suggest getting premade wires to start off with, then you would'nt waste the money on a welder if rebuilding them did'nt work out. What's the total ohms you want to end up with, or do you want to experiment ?

Basically just to experiment. I have i16s that I have taken apart and saved all parts and I know there not welded just the little sleeves keeping them from shorting. Just curious if welding would make it easier.

The only reason to weld is to attach no res. wire to res. wire, so it would be easier not to weld. Just so I'm clear, when you took the coils out of your other i16's, did you pinch the wire between two fingers then pull the wire through them to feel for welds. The welds can easily be overlooked by sight, but you can feel them if they are there. It's possible that they made them both ways or that there are knockoffs that make them different from the actual iclears. I'm not sure, the info I got from scouring the web was that they had no res wire attached. I even saw a picture, which I can't find now, of one with those sleeves being burnt on the ends at the coil from being too close to the coil when dry burning, and welds were clearly visible. I'd think if they did'nt use no res. wire those sleeves would be burning on a lot of the iclears, jmo though, I've never actually used an iclear myself.
