Well it'll help people to know we are here now! And man it's a bummer but it's all for a great cause! I have 20 different profiles now! Man managing to get out of the new member section is proving to be difficult!

J/k!! Please don't kill me for that comment it's a joke!

Think some people cheat via multiple profiles in vendor giveaways here at ECF? Any good ways to help prevent it?

No I was typing and had that thought. I'm sure that isn't happening. I will say my buddy is a new provari owner and told me to get on here. He rarely comes on so I told him to post! Welcome to provape win a emerald green!

Ha! I laughed.
A couple days after I registered on ECF I wanted to change my username, but couldn't see how, so I figured I'd just abandon Copperpot and be someone else. But, when I tried to register, ECF gave me an error message saying my computer/phone was already associated with an account (something like that anyway). Thus I stuck with Copperpot. I'm sure there is a way around this for those who are persistent enough, but it's a good way to deter all but the most determined, from gaining multiple accounts.

It's pretty simple to get around that

Hi, I'm Duane,
I came from the Land of LAVA and the municipality of mvp2 :) A couple weeks ago I discovered the joys of the Provari and have been vaping happily along with it and browsing the Provape forum. Hi Guys and Gals! It would be nice to have a backup, so, well, I entered :)
I only have one account so just a single entry for me though...:2cool::vapor::toast:

Well you would have to create a new e-mail address for every new account and then active them one by one.

I own a forum and it's not as easy as you think, exspecially if they use IP protection and use that to block multiple user accounts from the same IP.

Back in the strong AOL days it was tougher but with AOL becoming a thing of the past it got a lot easier.

It would be a huge PITA to create a bunch of new accounts and activate them for the contest. It can be done but it's not easy.

Setting up a new web-based email account takes a few minutes (if somebody doesn't have more than one already)..

IP addresses can be changed and/or using different IP addresses can be accomplished with a variety of methods...

Activating a new ECF registration & posting 5 or 10 messages on the New Members forum doesn't take long, either.. :)

Is it worth $250 or whatever? Maybe for some?

Plus you can use them for other future contests (and ProVape isn't the only ECF supplier who runs them)..

Not saying this is happening much, if at all.. And I haven't personally tried it... But to say that it's impossible or even very difficult or time-consuming is simply not the case...

Anyway, I honestly think that it's such a great prize, that people are just crawling out of the woodwork for a shot to win it.. Perhaps the link to the contest is also being spread around a little?

Just seems a little odd, on some levels, with the number of entries.. which, at least for me, raises an eyebrow & raises the question of what other potential explanations might be out there...

You can change your user name, although I can't recall the specifics. I think it might be after 1,000 posts, but don't hold me to that. I suggest you PM one of the mods.

I know exactly how to do it, and yes, it's easy.
