I am new to posting and unable to post in the provari forum. Sorry if this is not allowed but could someone please advise me on what to do, and how to do it?

I have been using my Provari v2 for over a year, love it! The only thing I have used with it is of course direct drip and my constant. .
5 ml tank with a Dual Coil Cartomizer 2.5 ohms double hole. I say this is my constant because it works, always. I vape at 5.5 - 5.9 continually depending on the flavor. I do enjoy a warm hard throat hit and lots of vapor while still maintaining balance in flavor. . . . is it possible?

I ordered the 510 XL ce2 3.0 ohm and well they just won't work for me. I have used them successfully on ego's before switching to the Provari and they worked great. I just cannot find the right voltage, if one even exists for the Provari and the 510 xl ce2 3.0 ohm. So here I have sat with 10 of these things not being used as I gave up in their working.

I have been so stuck in what has worked enough to get me by I have no idea where to go next. I vape continually throughout the day. I love my flavored juices and well want it to feel like a real cigarette. I have been analog smoke free for almost 2 years now and never want to go back.

So here I am, out of replacement dual coil cartomizers for my 5ml tank (madvapes) and wondering where to go and what to get next.

Again I apologize if I am posting this in the incorrect place. I have looked through the ProVari threads and I do see what people are using but I also see them using voltages in the 3's and 4's. It will not allow me to reply and/or start a new thread yet. Any suggestions for a 5.5 - 6 volt combo? Thank you so much!!!

I agree with SilentSreams. a Vivi Nova Tank looks decent on a Provari and is really good value for money. Make sure it's a "VISION" Vivi nova (there are fakes out there). It's easy to maintain, easy to replace the heads, and easy to get into the foray of rebuilding your own heads, should you ever want to. For the price and ease of use it's a small risk to take. Note: every once in awhile a "dud" will slip through so don't fret if you happen to be one of the unlucky few to get one. Good luck!

What voltage have you tried the 3 ohms at? General rule of thumb, take the resistance and add 2 for a starting point. 3 ohm carto, add 2, that's 5v.
As you said you like a really warm vape you may have to go with a lower resistance to get there, maybe a 2 ohm carto? That would put you at a 4v average and give you room to go up? You can drop down to a 1.5 dual coil if you really want warmth, but I've not had good luck with them lasting long.

Have you tried single coil cartos??? They deliver a tremendous vape with a great throat hit!
I would recommend the 510 MEGA (XL) Platinum Punched dual hole 2.0 ohm cartos at https://www.ikenvape.com/. keep an eye out for them, they are out of stock often (for good reason)!! Vivi nova tanks are good.....but glass or pyrex tanks are better (IMHO). Really clean hit and great taste with this set up at 4.0-4.2 V on my provari mini!!! Cant beat it!! Unless your using a RBA......(Z atty pro or Cobra in near future for me)....
just my :2c: take it for what its worth, FREE OPINION!!:)

Have you tried just plain boges? I have used 3 ohm 3 hole smoke tech for about a year but got tired of them being out of stock. I just bit the bullet and bought some boge SRs to slot and cut down 1 tank to try them out. I LOOOOOVE them way more than my smoke techs. For me the boges just hit harder. I tried the vivi nova and I vape usually around 4.5 to 5.5 volts. Even the 3.2 ohm head burned when I had it up at 4.5 volts. I won't rule out user error but I kept rolling it all the time to keep the coil wet. Good luck.

Actually. . . . I was bouncing all over the place with it. After posting this I bumped it up to 4.7 and it did start hitting much better. The burnt taste was gone and there was a better hit and good flavor. I am now testing 5v on it and liking it. Thank you so much for the suggestion - it is MUCH better now. Definitely something I can use daily!!!

I have tried them and actually still have quite a few in my collection (which is quite large lol). I noticed them earlier when looking for another tank replacement and thought about giving them a try again. I do remember liking them but it has been so long. I will put that on my to do list! Thanks for the reminder!!

May want to look into rebuildable atomizers (RBA).

Offer full customization and loads of options. A bit of a learning curve but its nothing extreme.

Love my AGA-T on my Vari V2. Ordered an AGA-T2 I like the original so much.

RBA . . . saw that earlier had no idea what it stood for. Now that I do it strikes panic and fear into me  lol. I just haven't stepped out of my comfort zone yet. Find something to get me by and stick with it
I will look into this thing that starts with "rebuild" :?: eek and see where it takes me! I think it is time for me to get out of the kiddie pool . . .so to speak :w00t:
Putting AGA-T and RBA on my "things to search" list!!

I believe in the beginning I did try single coil. I am bad (or good idk) about using the Madvapes recommended resistance chart, and this is how I decide what to order. Okay maybe not so good lol. I have multiple tanks and I do have vivi nova I am fairly sure, but it could very well be a knock off. I am very interested in a pyrex tank as I saw one on another thread but am not sure where to buy them. I will be searching for that later. Thanks for the suggestion I am putting your recommendations on my search as well as shopping list!!

I'd suggest you add "Smoktech "R"" to that list. Not that it's so great (it's actually an easy beginner's RBA and large version of the Vivi Nova in some respects). It doesn't have the longevity of the AGAs, but the way it functions is a bit different. The reason I suggest this is so you can understand the difference with the way the air is brought in. I have two AGAs and although they have great taste and vapor production, the vape tends to be a bit too cold for my taste.

Z-Atty-Pro - Rebuildable Tank System
Expensive but, you will save an incredible amount of money trying to find a consistent tank system that hits like a boss. I am personally not a fan of the inconsistant Vivi and have several new in the box due to the maint. I encourage you to watch the video on the page.

That little 10 dollar Vivi I bought way back when spoiled me. I have some fairly expensive gear, but a Vivi gives me about 80 percent of the vape and taste of the high end stuff that I've tried. On the "highend" scale of Vivi-type RBAs would be the "Odyseus". Those things vaped so good, that you can only find them used and when you do, they are insanely priced. The Vivi is a "descendant" of the Odysseus. Just made much cheaper and more efficient. Definitely worth a few dollars to have a try. The more informed you are, the better :)
I'm certainly not recommending you buy an "Ody". They are a pain to rebuild sometimes, but I have yet to find anything that vapes finer :) obviously this is just my opinion because I prefer that sort of Atty :)

Make sure if you do decide to get a vivi to try that it's a VISION vivi. There are fakes out there.

Okay thank you all SO much for the help!! I am currently vaping away on my 510 XL ce 2 3 ohm thanks to the suggestion made. This will hold me over until my shipment arrives of the viva nova and splitfire tank (Vision) yay!
Will still be looking for a pyrex tank and the 510 mega xl platinum punched dual coil 2 ohm, will order when found. I cannot wait to see what the viva is all about!!! Love this board, would be completely lost and completely broke without it!!
