I've been quite content using my IBTanked pyrex cartotanks with Ikenvape cartos 2.5 ohm, but just recently decided to make the plunge into the rebuildables, like Thompson said. Discount Vapors has the AGA T with a pyrex tank for $30. AGA Tiamat PLUS - Rebuildable Atomizer I heard after purchasing mine that Hoosier Vapes has them for $5 cheaper.

Last but most certainly not least. . . . I just placed an order @ Discount Vapors for an
AGA Tiamat PLUS w/Glass Tank.

This girl will be set up for at least a little while :p

Which flavor(s) do you have and are interested in trying?

I was getting tired of my peppermint/menthol mix so I just made a peach/plum mix that is tasting smoooth and tangy. I made a double batch so I can test it again in a week once it steeps :)
Right now I have espresso shot, Irish Cream, Dragon's Cafe out.
I am really wanting to try the Bobas Bounty and Guerrilla Juice from Alien Visions but it will not take my order yet. I have not used a tobacco juice well since the beginning.
Oh see that is what I am peeking into now DIY juice. UGH It is never-ending!

Since I started vaping I have been toying with the idea that someday I'll own a ProVari

OH MY GOSH!!! It was the best decision I have made since my switch. Seriously I was spending so much money trying to find something that would maintain performance. It was all so hit and miss. You think you have arrived at your final e-cig then something starts going wrong or they are too much to maintain. It was just so frustrating. Then I bought the Provari. The end. LOL It is a beautiful thing and I have had it almost a year it not a little more and it never ceases to amaze me.
The price is hard to swallow at first but my goodness did it pay off. I don't know how it would be possible to ever regret buying a Provari. There is not one single thing I have to complain about with it. It is that dependable and powerful. I tell my friends that are thinking of going e-cig to save themselves a lot of time and money and just buy the Provari :)

Oh yeah... I DIYed from the start (my whole family vapes) I've heard great things about Boba. It's quite a learning curve, *ESPECIALLY WITH SAFETY ABOVE ALL* (has to be in caps, sry to those to take that as yelling). Read, then read again, then write it down. Make sure you understand the dangers. Nicotine is a poison and should be handled as such.

I like Irish cream, but it clogs up my attys pretty quick (keep in mind I DIY and this could be my fault). I'm not familiar with Dragon's cafe. One of my brothers gave me some tobacco flavored juices, which, oddly made me crave a cigarette. I've haven't vaped anything cig related since.

Yes I used to be good friends with someone who actually owned a vape shop. I know that the nicotine should be treated as a toxic substance which scares me a bit, I have children.
I am looking into some kits right now to get started but currently I have moved onto another topic of interest lol.

I want to re-build the Viva Nova, after watching this video in it's entirety
A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding
At 17:00 he begins to rebuild the wick and coil. I want to learn how to do this.

He does not go into detail as to the size of wire etc ( at least not that I hear) so I searched on the forums and found this. .

A typical 4/5 wrap* with 32 gauge Kanthal will generally be around 1.8 ohms
A typical 4/5 wrap* with 34 gauge Kanthal will generally be around 2.5 ohms
Not sure what a 4/5 wrap* would be with 36; but would expect 3 ohms or greater.

Is the length needed for the ohms including the leads or is it only for the center coil? It only shows the wrap not the leads on the photos so I am unsure how exactly it works.

I am all about specifics sorry I know I ask too many questions, sorry

"4/5" means "Four or five wraps". Also the ohms stated are an approximation, Every coil you wrap will have a slightly different resistance when wrapped by hand.

The reason the ohms climb as the awg goes up is because 32awg wire is thicker than 34 and 36 awg. The electricity has to travel through a smaller space; hence higher resistance. I'm keeping this simple for clarity. Don't all you "Sheldons" jump on me ;)

The final resistance depends on the length of wire used and the diameter of the wick being wrapped. This determines the diameter of the coil, which in turn determines the total length of the heating wire. Sounds hightech (or I just found a complicated way to say it) but it's not :)

I'd suggest to make a coil with 4 wraps and measure the resistance. Make another with 5 wraps and again measure. As for the leads, yes it all counts, but the extra length of the ends will have to be cut off once the coil is in place and connected.

What ultimately matters is the resistance that you have when the coil is fully assembled in the head. It should not be lower than 1.8 ohms. There are some special circumstances, but no need to cover that here.

It's not difficult once you try it.

I find Kanthal 32awg A-1 to be the most versatile and easy to use. It's tough and re-usable I find 36awg tiny and somewhat fragile; i don't care for it.

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions. This is a bit off-topic? :)
