Why shut something down that you can make Money on. Or Tax.
That isn’t very Smart. And trust me, the Powers involved in e-Cigarette policy making are Very Smart when it comes to making Profits. Or Taxing People.

That's all we can do at this point. They haven't done anything yet besides say that they are getting into the market. We are simply discussing what ramifications this could have on us/ecigs depending on the millions of possibilities.

We are dealing with an entirely new breed of ANTZ these days. The ANTZ today are not just self-righteous religious zealots, or puritans or socially-aware do-gooders. They are SOCIOPATHS. Stone, cold psycho control freaks who have, through generations of social climbing, finally got themselves into positions of power and wealth where they can actually exert their sociopathic control-freak desires on the population at large.

After reading that article I thought of many more possibilities that could happen. For example (mind you this is purely a thought, I am fully aware that BT hasn't done anything yet) the FDA might regulate the heck out of ecigs:
No flavors - because yummy flavors would force children to smoke
No high nic - because nicotine is a poison and dangerous, what if a child drank it?
Only stick batts - because mods use big batteries that will blow your face off (literally)
Rigorous testing - because if we do tests on something and find out that it is harmful it is ok to sell it if we tell you "this might kill you"
And on and on and on....
BT is rich enough to meet and follow all of the regulations and still make a product that abides by them. Thus putting all juice and mod vendors out of business and making vaping as fun as smoking. They don't want to make an ecig product, they want to make money. They know that people are quitting cigs and picking up ecigs and they are trying to get in on it.
I do not see BT as the enemy but they are sure not the savior you're making them out to be. This of course is speculation and my opinion. Anything could happen, but once it happens it will be too late. I'd rather fight them all the way than welcome them with open arms.
But some of it isn't discussion, it's accusation, like when it was said "they can/will ....".
No it was called for, you can't bring up the past of others and ignore your own.
Yes it is speculation, opinion, totally incorrect and kind of what I'm pointing out about the bias getting in the way of thinking. Show me where I made them out to be the savior? Show me where I brought up any of your above items and said hey I agree with what they did.
Forgot to add you need to pick which battles to fight and when to fight, it is not a total black and white issue, there are positions in between.

Ones like arsenic, cyanide, and formaldehyde to name a few. 4,000+ chemicals in a cigarette and you're going to tell me they're all needed? If BT takes over ecigs the FDA becomes a non-factor the same way that they are now for cigarettes. BT becomes the controlling interest in ecigs in the US. They've never been good about competition, what makes you think they'll suddenly change their tune with ecig vendors?
BTW- My avatar is that of a man myth and legend known as King Diamond. While Al Bundy was funny, can't say he had the impact of King. Not only was he one of the founding fathers of black metal, was an influence for a number of bands not of that genre. He wrote the best song Metallica ever did ("Mercyful Fate" medly from Garage Inc.) for one. Ever hear of a small band called Nirvana? Oddly enough if not for King Diamond that band would have never exsisted.

1. Judged him by his pic - At least that's what you posted. I'm not sure what exactly you meant by that. But I don't see how his picture adds to this discussion or his views. <--therefore, uncalled for.
2. Brought up the length of years he smoked - Also not sure what this has to do with the discussion. <--again, uncalled for.
3. Accused him of blaming BT - I didn't see him blame BT for anything. He simply stated a fact of what some of the ingredients in cigs are. If this is what you are accusing him of blaming BT for then he has every right to blame BT for putting harmful things in cigs...they put them there!
Furthermore, we are not discussing his past, we are discussing BT. Why should he have to tell us his entire past just so that he can discuss the past of BT? Now that's just silly.

This and BP are your biggest opponents at the moment, not BT. At the moment BT as a proponent of vaping will help against FDA and BP shutting down vaping completely.

You need to look up the definition of savior, that in no way advocates that BT is innocent of anything they have done in the past, it is a statement that they are also in the game and will lose if BP and FDA make severe restrictions against vaping.

He smoked for 9 years, combine that with youngish picture, at the time he started smoking risks of cigs known. Now the profile picture could be old but even in the mid 80's people knew smoking was bad for you.

Thanks for saying that I'm not behaving, not understanding this is a forum, that I'm not discussing things and only arguing, attacking people personally. That I haven't figured that people have different opinions, that I'm trying to win, not behaving myself, implying that I'm not discussing something like an adult and possibly being an internet troll and that I might learn something.
Now I am going to point this out here to avoid confusion: the above paragraph is not an attack it is the information that was in your last paragraph and again just presenting information.
But having said that I'll bow out of this discussion because apparently I'm coming across as something that I'm not intending and this discussion/argument (whatever you want to call it) has devolved from the original point of the thread.

Just to clarify though, I didn't call you a troll, just stated that I like this forum because we can discuss things instead of being baited by trolls all the time.
I think they need to remain a novelty item Bt step one buy your biggest competitors take over there patents. Step two use your massive amounts of cash to sue any small rivals out of business no matter win or lose most cant fight very long in a court of law. Step three make the product almost impossible to attain or just so terrible no one wants it. Final step to the master plan we all give up and go back to smoking cigarets Bt happy Feds happy and BP can sell us Chantics patches and gum. Just wish everyone would stop trying to make the fortunes off them and stay out of our lives.
