Where does our nicotine come from?

Oh and I forgot about the tobacco in products like Snus, where does that come from??

That nicotine comes from the tobacco plant in cigs and snus. Plants use nicotine in the photosynthetic process converting sunlight to glucose for food. Nicotine just happens to be more prevalent in tobacco than in other plants.

A few people have tried that. TropicalBob has done the most work on it I think. No one has succeeded in getting a good nicotine hit that way yet and it probably isn't possible.
