I vape everywhere! So far the only place that I've been told it's not allowed is at the bus station (and on the bus). I would have argued my point but they threatened to kick me off and I was smack in the middle of a 2000 mile ride. lol.

There was another time that I was in a casino and the waitress must have just seen me blow out the vapor because she came running up yelling that I couldn't smoke. But then she started laughing in relief when I showed her my Volt.

How about ya'll? Have you been denied your vaping pleasure anywhere in public?

I've only had one time when someone complained. I'd been at a non-smoking bar for a couple of hours, and a guy (bartender/bouncer/barback, I dunno) came up and told me I couldn't smoke. I told him "I'm not smoking", he repeated "You can't smoke here". I told him I wasn't smoking, and he said I needed to talk to the manager. I did. As soon as the manager saw my eGo, he said "Oh, you're fine, don't worry about it". I went back to drinking & vaping & dancing and never heard any more about it.

One time a bar owner told me to stop vaping because he did not want other people thinking I was actually smoking. He wanted to prevent people from thinking it was a smoking bar so people did not start lighting up. Not a biggie, I told him I understood. Other than that, pretty much every place I went to I did not have any issues.

Marley's Bar and Grill in Manistique, Mi and Red Lobster in Bay City, MI. Most of the plqces I go, I've asked and have gotten permission. I don't return to places that say no. Even if I don't plan to vape during that visit, I ask for future reference and a possible opportunity to be informative.

I plan on vaping at the bowling alley Thursday during my bowling league. Was contemplating whether I should talk to the owner before hand or not, I think I will though. Will update if I get denied or not.

If you do ask you might want to take along a CASAA anywhere no smoking sticker CASAA "Anywhere No Smoking Sticker" - CASAA

Those CASAA stickers are a good idea, but they are 3.5" squares or something. Too small for use.

For instance, I just used google to shop for no smoking signs. These were the sizes I found, in the order returned from Google.

10"x7"
14"x10"
6"x9"
10"x7"
6"x9"
10"x14"
3"x9"

So the CASAA signs are trying to get more information into a much smaller sign. Essentially, if you aren't within arm-length from them, they aren't useful.

I would be more likely to spend some money on them if they came in a useful size.

In Singapore. I was there for a day waiting for a connecting flight and I experimented by vaping everywhere, like I do at home. I was told to stop vaping everywhere by security and actual police and to do it only is designated smoking areas.

Actually though, this was not a bad thing. I was expecting extreme unfriendliness and a ream of tickets. I didn't get even one ticket. Consider that this is a non-Democratic country which will occasionally confiscate a PV. I do have to qualify that I purposefully dressed like a tourist, with a camcorder and a big old Philippines T-shirt and I tried to maintain a tourist's slack jawed facial expression :).

Since I live in Jersey, it's out in the rain & cold for me. You can only vape in Smoking Areas. Almost no indoor places. The politicians here don't allow anything that they can't make a buck on.

I too live in NJ, and haven't had that problem at all. It's not illegal to vape indoors, don't let anybody tell you otherwise. If a manager or owner asks you to stop, in order to prevent smokers from thinking they can light up inside, that's a different story. But while indoors, don't be shy! Vape away!

;)

Church: was my own fault though, normally I stealth vape, but I zoned into the sermon and blew a huge cloud.....

Heh, that's just funny, though. I'm picturing one of those fancy old style clapboard churches that have only a dozen pews or so, and a distracted minister interrupting himself to tell you to knock it off, Mr. Stownz. :p

Also, whoa. I'm from Canyon Lake, TX, originally. Had to do a double take at your location before i realized it was the "other" Canyon. I had a ticket agent give me a bus ticket there once on accident. TOTALLY wrong part of the state. Ha.

i vape in my billiards league all night long. not a peep from anybody yet, going into the 3rd week of play.

most people smoke outside, cigs and cigars,.. so i dont know if seeing smoke is just wired into their brain to be normal... but the owner of the establishment is damn near 70 years old, and hasn't said a word either. i doubt he's knowledgable on e-cigs, so it's either the fact that it doesn't bother anybody, or the fact that he can barely see. lol.

I am a season ticket holder of the Colorado Rapids (MLS Soccer team) and twice now I've been threatened with ejection from the park for using the e-cig.

The first time, I was casually smoking it in our area. Security, who was already busting our chops for language, had one guy come up in my face telling me I needed to "put that out and that smoking is prohibited". I held the e-cig out in front of him and said "First of all, there's nothing to put out. Second of all, I'm not smoking". He seemed unphased and told me again to "Put it away and that I need to be considerate of the people around me" to which I replied "I'm sure the people around me are thankful I am using this, rather than an actual cigarette". He started to become more aggravated and told me that if I wanted him to go get the Cops and discuss this with them as I'm being lead out of the park, I am more than welcome to it. I half wanted to tell him to go ahead and do so, in order to make a fool out of him, but I decided to bite the bullet and put away. Not without a few more snide comments by the jerk.

Following week I was using it again after having read the Park rules and regulations. It says "No smoking allowed" and nothing about personal vaporizers, so I figure until they have it in the park rules, it's fair game. Well, I made it to the end of the game and as I was walking up and out of the park, I was stopped by a security lady who told me "Smoking or other variants are prohibited". Again I told her I wasn't smoking, but she was quick to say "and other variants". Since the game was over and I was leaving, I figured it was best just to walk on and not start anything since she started up the whole "won't be welcome back" routine. I did mention that it was rather stupid of them to make up rules on the fly that don't make sense.

Oh well. Our last home game is Friday. Unless I see something on the rules that say "No personal vaporizers", then I will assume it's still okay to vape. I will welcome whatever they try to throw at me.

It hasn't happened to me yet, but I vape in mostly open area spaces, like Wal-Mart, CostCo, Sams Club...that sort of thing.

If I'm told not to vape by somebody, I'll explain the difference: but I'll pocket it if they insist on my not vaping. No point in giving our community a bad rep.
