So i doubt anyone noticed i have been gone , other than the modder community not having a bunch of silly ideas. well , here is the story of where hova did go.

so the background to this story , sort of starts with rob at vaporcountry.com . lovely products , and i promise i will get these video reviews going , so i can get some more pina colada and menthol off ya , along with some atty's .

anyways , i was supposed to get married on july 25. or should i say i bought a 99 and a half (sort of like an early 2000) vw golf. this happened march of 2010. i loved that car. it was my baby. i used to drive for work , and this was my home . my apartment was more of a home away from home , considering how much time i spent in my golf.

anyways. long story short , Friday the 23'rd i was over my future parent in laws house doing some painting to get ready for the wedding (it as to be at their house) , and went home about 7pm to take a shower. this is when disaster figured out where i had been hiding all these years.

so heres a photo interlude.

this is my golf . this is my mistress. some time around march of this year.

and this is me. i know , not so pretty to start with... we cant all be given the gift of brains and expect that whole beauty part to follow...

thats my baby when he was tiny , hes cute. i know.

so anyways. july 23rdth comes along , and my whole life changed. i am talking upside down, turned on its head , and put through the wringer type .......

heres me... july 24th. post mayhem.

and heres my home...

so a week later i see these pictures and basically puke my guts out. it was fun.

the wedding was postponed , the car will be replaced and life will go on.

i dont really know why i have to post this , mostly as a PSA to everyone else that no matter how aware you are , there's always someone out there that is so unconscious , that they put you in danger. i have been cited with the accident , because i was making a left turn.i dont remember anything from the accident , but having logged over half a million miles in the past 3 years doing my job , i can assure you i didnt pull in front of this person. the fact that there were no skid marks to recreate their side of the accident , shows that they were not even paying attention. probably talking on the phone.

if one person out there puts down their cell phone , then i have not gone through all this for nothing. please take care of the ones you love , and pay attention when driving.

and this is where hova did go... rob i promise i will get the video review up for you as soon as i can stand the look of myself on camera. its still pretty bad.

edit: the total injuries in my car were only to me , as i was alone. i suffered one broken femur (in two places) , which resulted in a .64" dia titanium rod skewering my femur bone . there are two titanium screws securing the top, and two more screws holding it at the bottom. 20 staples and 30 stitches in my head/face . a busted finger (got caught in between the dash and the shift knob) . add in a handful of bruises , some cracked ribs , and that just about does it.

Yikes. Glad you're still typing! How's the other guy?

the other car was a 2005 buick rendezvous. there was a middle aged woman with two teenage daughters in the car. driver was checked and was 100% ok , one of the daughters had her lips tore up , they said on her braces , so i figured the airbag did that. the other girl was checked out , and they all basically walked away without a scratch... i am thankful that no one else was seriously injured. women and children should never experience what i went through...

im going to be fine. its going be 5 months before i can walk , but i get to keep my leg. if this happened 20 years earlier , i would be an amputee...all the doctors get a kick out of me telling them i have never broken a bone, and they tell me that i picked the strongest largest bone in the body.

i learned one thing , and that is that when you have a broken femur , and they tell you they have to put your leg in traction cause someone else is in surgery , that they fail to explain that traction means they put a ratchet strap around your ankle , and the other end goes to the bottom of the bed. then they crank on it , and keep your whole leg separated. i think it dislocated my knee , but they also put the rod in through my knee...and they blame the rod , not the traction. i dont believe it...

That's hard core man!! Glad everyone made it through. I've seen wreckage that did not look that bad that was fatal. Hope you get back on your feet soon enough. I'll bet your little one got the hug of a life time when you first saw him after the accident.

yeah i was out of it for 4 days after surgery. thigh and hip anestesia is the worst they tell me , i dont remember anything , which is how i wanted it. it was very eye opening when two days after i came to , im watching the news , and there was a crash that happened exactly where mine did , exactly the same , but the car that was in my position was a civic , and flipped over. killing two inside. i was very happy to not own a civic...

Glad you are okay---heck I'm very glad you are breathing.
I know you're bored but don't over do, I got a friend that broke her femur and over did and ended up snapping the rod---she had to go back into surgery to have it replaced.
My prayers for a fast recovery are headed your way.

Im glad your alright man Trust me I know what its like to get into a bad wreck. I fractured my Hip really bad and couldnt walk for months and had broken ribs and bruised lung and a bleed in my brain.

My wreck was my fault though as I was blacked out from drinking.. It has been over a year since my wreck and I have not had a drink since..

I always goes through my mind how lucky I am though that I was wearing my seatbelt and most of the dmg was on the passenger side or else I would surely not be here.. I am also very very glad that No one else got hurt I think about it all the time how easily I could have taken someones life.. Luckily I hit a house and no one but me got hurt.

again glad your ok and it sucks about your car those are a nice car.

this is where i wrecked you can see that I went airborn and hit the tree mid air then landed into the house..

Moral Of my story is NEVER Drink and Drive!! Its not worth it it really isn't..Even if you just had two drinks or so don't drive just call a cab or have a sober friend drive you home or pick you up..

I can't imagine having to live knowing I killed someone from driving drunk, thank god that didnt happen but it could easily happen. So take my advice and don't learn the hard way like me please dont drink and drive.

I'm glad you are alright Hova. This is a very interesting post...it makes you think a bit. And it almost makes me scared to drive anywhere again.

And to the post above and anyone reading...

The average DUI in the U.S. can cost over 10,000 dollars. The average cab ride costs around $15.00 and even if your cab ride is more than that, it is still not worth the risk if you are drinking and you need to get home or some other destination.
