In Mi...We call them "Lion Logs"....Actually up in the top of the mitten in Traverse City we have a meat market called Pleva's(think they are online),which specializes in "Cherry" meats(made with cherries).The Cherry Brats are to die for.The call the ground beef/cherry mix "Plevalean",as it is a lower fat,healthier alternative to regular ground beef....Yum yum...order some now!!

Here in my neck of the woods (Literally!) we have a place called Sylvana meats. Their specialty is "Bacon Burger". they grind fresh cut bacon into their hamburger. Grill up some of those bad boys with a slice of good sharp Cheddar melting on top. MMMMmmmmmmmmm
For a special kick, A thick hunk of Walla Walla sweet onion grilled along side the burger makes an irresistable Whopper! Yes... you CAN have it your way! LOL

I might have to try them cherry brats - some other fruity flavors, too - I've got cherry, blueberry, apple, and cranberry here in town.

Yeah what really ticked me off when I moved here, is that Idaho potatoes cost $1 more a bag than Washington potatoes. Can you effing believe that?Funny you should say that.... Years ago, I was in Sun Valley, (For Work actually) and I had visions of getting this fantastic baked potato with my dinner. When the meal came, I was greaatly dissapointed by this whimpy, scrawney boringly Normal potato. Was told at the time that all the good ones were exported!!! WTF??? I guess it's the same thing as trying to get a really good apple in Washington. We send 'em all to Japan!!!

Went to the brat house today - yummmm. The only thing better than a Glen's brat is when they grill it for you and serve it up hot!
Smothered with plenty of onion and a good, dark brown mustard.....man I love this town in the summer!
