first2di3 = first to die = When I was growing up I played Quake/Doom/Quake2/Quake3 alot, very fast paced games..

I got this nick because I started playing CounterStrike (back in the days before Steam was out) and I would rush in to the enemy base with guns blazing and normally kill 2-3 people, but then I would die and have to sit for 5+ minutes while the round was played out as normal...

People used to laugh because I was always the first one to die......and so it was born...

Much less ominous than it sounds, its from the way I play games as opposed to thinking Im going to die first :p

I love to see a Hackers based name. "Dude, dude, dued, freak, freak, freak. I need a handel" :)

Mine is based on my name. And yes my last name really is Schmoker

i have to apologize in advance for this, but i just had a funny thought.
it's a good thing your parents didn't name you richard. lol

 i'm sorry

LOLOL, omg yeah and they probably wouldnt even realise what they did, depending how old they were :)

Like how your grandpa is named richard, but kids are not named that as often now.
There are just no associations there for older parents with these words.

Obama and his wife like FISTING!

I am glad I wasn't named richard too.

But my last name did fit me quite well. At my worst I was a 5.5 pack a day smoker and dropped down to only 2-3 packs a day.

Now I vape and I feel much better. I don't miss my old analogs much either. I guess I still have my "Smoke".

It have thought about giving one of my children (that is when I have one) the nickname "Bud" but that would just be too cruel. But it would be funny.

Nuh-uhhh...I'm 38 and have loved that movie since I was a teen...my Mom was cruel and made us watch the oldies...I love the Jewish guy (can't remember his name) thrilled to have strawberry jam ;)
Also love Logan's Run too...and the blob....got nightmare's from that one

Edward G. Robinson. Did many ganster movies in the 30's and starred with Humphrey Bogart in several movies in the 30's & 40's. Joseph Cotton, another big film star from the 30's & 40's was also in that picture with Charlton Heston.

devonschmoker and lordmage, I officially love you both. Hackers is one of my favourite movies of all time.. I can recite the film from beginning to end from memory without a script in front of me.. I actually killed my original VHS and had to buy another copy before it came out of DVD. *Laughs*

Sadie is one of the boring ones I'm afraid.. it's a common nickname of my actual name, which I use for burlesque when I perform. In the past year or so it's taken over the plethora of online names that I used to use (including Acid-Burn, for a period. XD).

This thread is a total hoot..some of these names crack me up..I've been reading this forum for about a month and decided to join today finally.

Pister is a nickname me and my sister have called eachother for over 15 years now. it was a drunken jumble of words that started it all, I went to say "P*ss on you Sister" but it came out as "Sis on you Pister" and it stuck, so ever since then we have called eachother Pister...Plus everyone else knows who were talking about when we say Pister.:D

Did you two read Azure Bonds? D&D forgotten realms though, published around the same time as dragonlance chronicles with tasselhoff burrfoot and tanis, rastlin :)

We hope you read Homeland with the drow? :) FR setting

The Dark Elf series - Still have ALL the books on my bookshelf - still get read, too...

I stopped reading the DL series when they combined the 3 moons into one - it just lost my interest...

Any of you read the Deathgate Chronicles? Those still get read around here, too....
