Now that I got THAT out of my system.... :D

I started with a 901 and "loved" it until I got tired of the batts running out soon/fast and having to top off frequently (I'm a HEAVY PV user).

So, I moved up to the 801 when I got the Janty Stick....loved it and still do but the 10440 batt (AAA size) soon got too small so I stuck with the 801 and moved "up" to the Bartleby which has the built in usb charger but a 14500 (AA size) batt.

Now, I'm pretty set....well, pretty much. Seeing the eGo and other similar models, I've started to think about trying the 510 to get more batt life....but then I'm sort of back to smaller cart and frequent top offs.....sigh.....

I would suggest you start by what you can get in your area and then go with the biggest batt size you can find and like. Recharging isn't hard but it can be a drag during a long day or long drive.

Hope this helps.

Most people will say that the 510 or the KR808 are the best models. I really don't think you can do a whole lot better than a 510. You now basically have all the options you can ask for. If you want a cartomizer they are cheap enough. If you want more battery life get an eGo or a mod.

I would suggest a box mod for price and reliability but according to one of our members who is a LEO (law enforcment officer) that could get you shot in the head because it looks like a detonator.

tector, if you only knew how many times that question has been asked! There is no answer to the question; they are all fine models, each of which has a loyal following (assuming that you meant 801, 901, and 905). [NOTE: The DSE905 is a different kind of model: it is what we call a "mod" (a housing for a high-capacity, rechargeable flashlight battery) and it uses the 901 atomizer.] It really depends on what you want in an e-cig.

See my comparative review for some of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the 510, 801, and a popular model you didn't mention, the KR808D-1. [Please notice my Afterword at the end of the review about the 901, which I have come to regret short-changing in the review.]

Not covered in the review are higher priced ($60-$80), higher-capacity versions of those models: the eGO/Tornado, Riva, and Hello 016 based on the 510 atomizer ... and CigEasy's brand new Elegant created for the KR808D-1 cartomizer, but equally appropriate for the 901 atomizer and even effective for the 801.

nubee, check out my recent review of the Elegant, which I love using with my 801.

I've personally tried the Janty Stick, 801, blu, nJoy, and eGo.

The Janty Stick was awesome until I dropped it. It literally shattered into peices when it fell down the stairs. I've dropped cell phones harder than that and they were fine. MAYBE I got a dud, but I personally will never go back to "box mods" as I feel the're way too fragile. I've dropped my eGo 3 times already and it doesnt even have a scratch on it! I spent like 70 bucks on a janty stick and I think they're way too cheaply made for that kind of money.

The 801 was an automatic. Maybe the manuals are better but... The thing was so unreliable, much like the nJoy and the bluecig. I hated those.

After being frustrated with nJoy, blucig, 801 and Jantystick I left vaping for a long time. I'm currently using a manual eGo. It is freakin awesome! I love it's reliability and ease of use. It's battery life makes it a great product to travel with, as long as you got some spares and lots of carts with you.

The only thing I DO NOT like about the eGo is that I have to carry about 10 carts with me (I usually use less than 10 but I want to make sure I have em all)
