Oddly enough I've used several Aspire products; I've found them to be well made and have had absolutely zero issues with them.

For the OP, if you've already been using your buddy's Atlantis and you like it then that's an option for you. Another suggestion would be the Kangar Subtank (mini or standard), it comes with an rta deck so you can build your own when you're ready. Note that I've never used one but have heard good things about it.
you got lucky then. my wife went through several aspire BDCs and they were utter junk, and only like 1 in 5 atties worked properly, they were also not rebuild able and therefore cost inefficient.

RBAs are a great money saver. A 100' roll of Kanthal will last you a year or more for $7. Cotton or Rayon for wicks is cheap. $3 worth of good grade cotton will make wicks for about the same amount of time. I"m using Sally's Beauty Supply salon coil cotton ($3.49 a box) and finding them to be as good as Koh Gen Do Japanese cotton.

At $1.50 a coil and using several a week, factory coils are a good source for vape store revenue, but bad for the vaper's pocketbook.

For that setup (high wattage) and if you wanted to venture into rebuildables, I hear good things about the ubertoot (if you can get one). Would also think that a dual coil RBA like the aqua would be a good fit. An RDA would probably be a better match though. I have the marquis and the aeolus and love them both.

I've been vaping for ~2 years and I'm amazed at how quickly these high power devices have caught on! Please be careful with what you put on top!
