I was looking at getting the Prodigy V3.1 until I thought about the bottom feeders I had seen a while back. I like pretty much all the bottom feeders and trying to figure out what I should get. I've been operating off a Joye 510 for a while now and I only use one juice exclusively that I like. Im mostly tired of having to drip constantly and think a bottom feeder would be a good solution. I don't care about size or shape much as long as its not humongous which I don't think any current mods out there would be too big. What are the cost/benefits to certain mods and what do you think would be best for me? Opinions welcome cause I really can't decide. Thanks all

You might find this helpful: Best e-Cig Mod List | e-Cig Mods Database

And some stuff I found that wasn't on that list last time I looked:
Ken's Box Mods
Old Goat Mods

Also from that mod list, the link for the Wet Box points to a place that apprantly doesn't have them in stock, but NHaler apprantly does.

I use a Darwin and love it, but it has no juice feeder built in. I just fill large cartomizers or occasionally use a CE2 tank and swap them out when empty. I picked the Darwin mainly for battery type/life, but it also offers many more luxaries that make it a superb mod.

hmmmm upon researching the wetbox doesn't look like the best option. I might just get some new cartomizers, new batts and an extra charger for my 510. It seems to work for me good and I've already got equipment for it. If I can figure out this cartomizer thing it may not be so bad as far as refilling it all the time. I think my old atomizers are part of the problem and they just need replaced. Ive had them since December so goin on five months. Thanks a lot for your help guys. Its surprising all the information about ecigs is sometimes overwhelming but this site helps a lot.

Seems like you're searching for what we all do eventually - battery life and some way to feed an atty. For the about the price of restocking small batteries you should be able to pick up an inexpensive big battery mod - something that takes an 18650 or other higher mAh battery - for use with your 510 cartos. My mind is picking lint right now so every name of every reasonably priced big battery mod has been filtered out but it just makes more sense to go with longer battery life unless you just prefer the form factor of the 510. I'll edit when my memory has switched back to On.

Edit:

Bottom feeders

D-cup from jollyrificmods.com (better first bottom-feeder, imo - 10ml juice capacity, big battery, cleaner construction)

I don't know that either of these would be my first bottom feeders because they each have a very small learning curve but you're not a newbie so you already know to hang in there with a PV:

Reosmods.com (check out the forum for when they go on site - they sell out like hotcakes)
Phidias available by checking out this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rs-forum/122134-phidias-celebration-sale.html

Lucas, only YOU know what will be best for YOU. One suggestion might be to write down the things that you are wanting out of vaping, i.e. longer battery life, variable voltage, pricing budget, etc. then start comparing different pv's to your list. The one that meets the majority of your needs would be the one to go with.

I really like the bottom feeders for their simplicity of use, but I also have a vv Infinity that ranks right up there as well...just depends on my mood I guess. LOL

Good luck in making your choice. :)

Even if you stick with a stock 510, I highly suggest considering at the least a little eGo USB Passthrough Battery. They're only about $25 bucks and include a usb cord. The charger is built in, and you can use it while it's charging, or pull it off and enjoy several hours of vaping from the 600-700ish mah battery.

Bigger than a regular 510 battery, but still small, light, and should last ya in the very least 6mo. (rated at 300 charge cycles) Probably one of the best values in the entire e-cig industry.

Just the cord that comes with it would cost ya up to $12 at Walmart (tho' I doubt this one is for actual data transfer).

ego battery usb passthrough - Google Search

Add a handfull of cartos...or possibly some sort of jumbo carto, and you're good to go :)

Frog...what's this pro series talk? I'm interested!

Its' a newly re-designed Buzz sewnkitee!
Nicer looking, better kit inside too kittee! (meaning , not sure)!
lol.
Basically this new buzz won't have that knarled look, will be smooth, and new electronix inside will lead to 2x the battery life per charge!

I don't know how this will be obtained, but Buzzkill (the mod maker of the buzz) says it's the next level in VV VAping!
Oh, and it will have the VV wheel instead of using a little screwdriver as you've had to use in the past with the old buzz...
I'm getting that or infinity (or buzz) in 2 weeks when they come out....the infinity is so sweet looking to go out with ya know...

Buzz will be for round the house or on beach.... jerk'n with the coppers as they ride by on the beach with their atv's.....say'n WTF is that dude toot'n!
hehehe
go to notcigs forum here in vendors section to learn anythign u want...ask and they will flood ya w/answers...everyone in there is a Buzzhead....almost cult-like...(when i count to 3 you will Vapeup)!
lol

I swear...what's not to love about notcigs? Buzzkill is more than just some guy trying to figure out what folks will buy. He seems to be about how vapers use their devices and designing to that... I can't wait for this Pro to be released. Do you know what batteries it'll take? That's a lotta reading to wade through to find out.

And, about folks curious about what you're 'smoking' on the beach... Let 'em wonder!

the batteries are RCR123a (3.7v) X 2 each.
Got that off the site..you need 2 for 6 volt....so it'll last a good long time!
Yea, the cops can wonder...as long as there wondering where the weed isn't...lmao.

Actually we're supposed to be helping Lucas, Frog.

And, Lucas, all I can say is, there is no perfect device. Yes, the decision about which mod to get first is difficult because of all the choices available so you should decide which is more important to you of these four things: battery life, method of feeding the atty, price, appearance.

Battery life - 14500 was my first 'mod' size and battery. Running parallel in the Big KaZoo, a nice, inexpensive 5v mod, I got a day away from home's worth of satisfactory vaping with cartos. I then moved up to 6v vaping as I struggled to give up anaolgs and that's when I got my first big battery mods. They're handy because you can also do 3.7v with a high mAh, long lasting 18650 (or something similar) with LR attys.

Method of feeding the atty - are you going to drip, use cartos, lay your hands on a MAP tank? Or, have you determined you must have a bottom feeder? I suggest a bottom feeder as a second mod and that you get a real - vs a WetBox (and I speak from experience) - bottom feeder.

Price - only you know what you're willing to pay

Appearance - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you have to be comfortable whipping it (the mod) out in public

I'd go with the Puresmoker mod you were looking at originally vs spending that same amount on small batteries you're going to have to swap a lot. Their forum is very, very supportive and the device is attractive enough to use in public without embarrassment.

Excellent suggestions! And on the Darwin, you just can't beat how good it is. Being able to get 21+ hours on a charge and also doubles as a pass-through are excellent features.
