First of I would like to say hello and thank you

I'm looking at buying some liquid nicotine to begin mixing my own juice in the near future. I saw that myfreedomsmokes had a code for 20% off so I wanted to know which ration was best to purchase. the code I found was LIQUID20

I'm looking at mixing juice for a Mechanical mod with a tank/ehpro Kayfun. Flavor more than clouds is preferred however I'm new to the mixing side so I'll most likely be trying users concoctions of flavor goodness.

I'm just trying to buy a bottle that can be used and not sit on the shelf because I mad a mistake. I want to hurry before the sale ends that is unless you know of somewhere more common to purchase supplies for a newbie.

Thanks for any help

I get the 50-50 from there as far as flavor vs clouds that would come more from your pg vg ratio not the nicotine. Buy more than you think you need cause diy gets addictive lol. Keep the unused nicotine in the fridge.

I buy 36mg, because it's safe to vape raw, although that's a bit hardcore! And it's easily divisible by the most common strengths people vape - 24mg - 18 - 12 - and so on, which makes mixing it foolproof. Almost!

Nice
What PG/VG do you buy and is there any reason as to why is better or more common than the other?

Kinda Depends on what the PG to VG Ratio of the Final e-Liquid you want to make is?

And how Much you want to Save by buying High Nicotine Level Base and them Diluting it with PG, Vg or Both.

Many People Opt to just buy Nicotine Base at the mg Level (or Very Close to it) they want their Finished e-Liquid to be. And in the Same PG to Vg Ratio.

Then they Just Add Flavoring, Steep, and then Vape. Easy Peasy.

Costs a Tad More to go this Route. But Many find the Ease of Use to be Well Worth the Few Extra Bucks.

I used to make it 50/50 because i am innumerate and so simple works. I buy the nic in 100% vg now, but a lot really depends on your vaping style.

Conventional wisdom is that pg is a better flavour-carrier and most e-liquid flavours are mixed using it, but vg is better for clouds and not so harsh on your throat when you vape it.

It's also rather hot in Texas this time of year and i prefer the viscosity of high vg liquids, because they leak less. But it's really a personal choice you have to make. I vape at about 9mg/ml now and use a roughly 80/20 vg/pg mix.

It's also rather easy to become fixated by the numbers and precise ratios of this and that, but in the end all that really matters is that you get a vape you enjoy and the nicotine you need to stop you lighting a cigarette.

Lets Say I Order 125ml of unflavored nicotine how big PG & VG bottles to go along with that

I haven't found a ratio I want to use being that I'm just starting. So I'll just say base answers off 50/50 Blend

Thanks for all the feedback especially the veteran members taking time to come makes sure the newbies are all good.

Once Again.

It's hard to Answer you Question because we Don't Know what the Nicotine Level of the 125ml Bottle is? Or what the Final Nicotine Level that you want to use?

I have to start DIY... Really !

DIY has been good for me with a family of three vapors....or shall I say vapist's. :D Saved alot of money but spent al,ot of time learning how to mix...still learning.

I started with the old 50/50 and then as my personal tastes changed, I eventually went up to around 75 to 80% VG. I buy my VG and PG from essential Depot ? by the gallon jugs and was a TFA flavor user for a long time, but have recently discovered what I think is the best flavor making companym (Flavor Art)..... Ive also found out about a supplier that has a Nic that is almost virtuaslly tasteless (in thre UK), so Im off to re learning once again and should be getting even tastier juices.

Its can be a long journey for some of us.......then again, its so easy to just go up the street and test some flavors and buy what you like.

Good Luck.

The prices at MyFreedomSmokes are hyper inflated. Go to Nude Nicotine, Wizard Labs, or Bull City Vapors for better prices without a sale or coupon code. RTS Vapes has a code for your first purchase of PG, VG, and/or nicotine. Use the code FIRSTORDER for 20% off, and it's good forever, so no need to rush your purchase. eCigExpress has the code ECFFORUM for 5% off.

If you want the most bang for your buck, just get 100 mg/ml strength. Just use a good calculator to do the math for you, and you can adjust whatever ratios you want on-the-fly.

If you buy 10% nicotine in 100% vg and you want a 1% mixed liquid @ a 50/50 ratio (pg/vg) you would mix 10ml of nicotine base with 40ml of vg and 50ml of pg to make 100ml of 1% juice, not counting dilution from the flavorings. It seems to me like you could do the flavor blending first and then add the nicotine base afterwards to get the closest possible ratio of nic to juice.

Perhaps just getting ready to vape nic in a 50/50 blend and adding flavors would be easiest at first.

Nicotine Level 100mg 125ml Bottle
Final Nicotine Level 18mg

Also I just found the company Wizard Labs that sells nicotine & PG/VG Does anyone have any feedback vs MFS DIY Products

For your 1st Foray into DIY, I would suggest you Buy 18mg Nicotine Base in either 50%PG:50%VG. Or buy One Bottle of 18mg 100%Pg and One Bottle of 18mg 100%VG and combine them to make 18mg 50:50. Then just Add Flavoring/Sweetener.

I don't recommend someone who has Never done DIY to start off with 100mg Nicotine Base.

Get your Rhythm Down. Try out some Recipes.

When you get a Little Experience, then you can Go for that 100mg if you want to. Or just stay with 18mg Nicotine Base if you choose.

BTW - I have made Many Purchases from Wizard Labs. Great Quality. Great Selection. Great Packaging/Shipping.

I agree with the poster who suggested buying 18mg nic and adding flavors, you can buy 50/50 or 125mil of pg and vg and blend to suit.
I was going to mix (100mg) Nicotine E-Liquid 18 ml 50/50 base with PG 41 ml & VG 41 ml For 100ml bottles of 18mg nicotine.

Not sure if that's what you folks were talking about not doing as a beginning DIY

I did find that wizard labs sells 18mg bottles in both PG & VG. So I'm Going to listen to you folks and look into that.
You took the time to come and help me out & I really appreciate that.

Now I just need to find some bottles maybe from specialtybottle if that's a good place & find a french cruller E-Juice recipe

Are amber/blue bottles better and does it go bad faster once you mix it all together?

Thanks Again
