Hi everyone from a newbee! I ordered the Prado $9.95 trial kit. Just got it today and was very disappointed. It is so strong it burns my throat really bad. It is also very heavy. I had to cancel my credit card after I found out online about people having trouble returning them to this company. They suggested just canceling my card which would stop them from charging me another $150 or so in a few days.
Anyway I am a 2 pack a day smoker of Virginia Slims Lights 120's which is a very light and slim cig. I have smoked for over 40yrs! I am tired of my clothes stinking and yes we do still smoke in the house! YUCKY!
When I saw the ecig ad I was very excited to maybe be able to smoke without stinking up everything I own!! Does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of ecig is the best and would be comparable to the brand I smoked? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Jinxiejewels, I also had ordered the PRADO but returned it in the 10 day trial period and got the refund minus the re-stocking fee. I didn't have to cancel my card. I was worried though. They were reasonably courteous. Also made sure I opted out of the cartridge monthly delivery program.

Congrats on considering the change to vaporizing nicotine instead of burning cigarettes. I don't think your gonna' find an exact match for the type of cigarette flavor you're used to since it is entirely tobacco free. There are some tobacco flavors out there, but from what I have read, they really are not the same as the 'tarry' cigs we used to smoke. However, you can get your usual nicotine dose more or less. The nicotine levels you'll want in your e-cig cartidges is up to you when you buy. The cartridges for e-cigs generally come in liquid strengths from 0 mg nicotine up to 36 mg. For example, I was about a pack a day Camel smoker (for 25 yrs.) and I was used to about 20 mg /day (1 mg per cig) nicotine. I initially bought 18 mg carts (about .33 ml/cart or about 6 mg/cartridge) with my first e-cig. I would easily smoke 2-3 a day to get my dosage dialed into what I was used to (20 mg/day).

As far as which model is best,....well that is very subjective. I suggest exploring this fine forum for answers and don't be afraid to ask questions (in the proper forum of course). There are alot of knowledgeable individuals here.

I highly recommend you give the 510 a go. Grab a kit and seee how it goes! If you really like it but want extended battery life later there are many mods and e-cigs with larger batteries such as the Janty Ego or Titan Tonado that you can keep and use the atomisers with.

I also really like the penstyle e-cigs for their smooth taste and great vapor but try the 510 first!

Good luck!!

Hi JinxieJewels,

Try cignot.com. You can get a Joye510 with 2 att/2 batt/5 carts, AC charger for $35. The owner, Terri, is so awesome. She will walk you through any Qs you have and her service is lightening speed. I ordered mine on Friday night and it was shipped out the next day (Sat.). I am a newbie too, and I spent hours on the site with a pen and tablet. The Joye510 is the most popular here at ECF with the DSE 901 close behind. Hope this helps and saves you a LOT of time, because this ECF is enormous! Good luck. one more thing -- for eJuice, check out vikingvapor.com as a beginning point.

Yes. I'll have to agree. The 510 models are great. You may think super minis are great because their likeness to real cigs but the 510 just outperforms them. I personally bought my kit from volcanoecigs.com. The price is steeper but I got it for the customer service mostly and then the personal charging case that's included, wall charger and usb charger. And the 25 stock carts, which some flavors are better than others. I also bought extra juice from mstsbakery and liquidxpress. Juicy fruit, grape, and taboo.

Blah blah blah. I'm happy with the 510 is the main point.

Yes Jinxie, many of us re-fill our own spent cartridges (carts) with e-juice. We do this because it is a far more convenient (and economical) method to have a variety of flavors and variable amounts of nicotine, rather than be stuck with the vendors pre-filled flavors and at the vendors prices for those carts. It's not too hard to do. Usually just taking the mouthpeice off and putting some more drops of juice into the fill material.

There is a way to vaporize. It is different than hitting a cig. It's more of a longer, lighter pull of a duration that is to your liking. Some like the throat hit, some don't. You are in control. It just takes some practice to get the hang of it.

As far as the BLU, some like them, many have them, many use them and many get 510s when they want a step up to better vaping.
