hi all.

i'd like to get you guys's opinion on which to go for.

i am sort of in a bind trying to decide on new technology or go for whats normal.

my options are:

the sigelei 213
OR
the hohm wrecker g2

i am not considering the dna at all as i do not like it one bit.

i've been watching a lot of youtube videos on both and while the g2 is still new there seems to be some hope for it.
in the end the sigelei 213 is a nice fashionable device in terms of looks and does whats standard in the market.

which would you buy?

correct. but although its advertised as 213 and is only really capable of 155 so is the g2. but then again the g2 has tc for kanthal and everything else.

i am leaning towards the g2.

still undecided though.

I do not understand your response to my post

Just watch the video, or just the conclusion in the end if you're in a rush.

Love my 213, doesn't bother me that it's not truly 213 watts as I don't need a dragon breathing down my throat. I have the RX200 for that! Has all the TC setting I need, small and compact, fits great in my hand. Sigelei is probably my favorite company and I have no worries about this device, have had the original 150 since it first came out and still works like the day I got it even after 20+ drops at 3ft or more

I have 10 mods(2 - unregulated), 8 Sigeleis and 6 of them are 213s(2 - Sig 213; 4 - Sig Fuchai). The Sigelei mods seem to ONLY do wattage mode. If you are looking for a TC box, buy a Kanger or DNA 200.

Other mods I'm looking at buying right now are:
2 - Hex Ohm Mech Mod
2 - BC Box Mods (18650 serial/parallel switch box)
2 - Kanger DripBox 160 (SQUONKER)
4+ - DNA 200 boxes

Other mech mods that I have at this time:
1 - MCV Raptor (Philippines, all copper)
1 - Scotts Mods "The Vet" (American made, 26650/18650

[EDITED] I did not know the Sigelei boxes were NON TC until today 06/29/2016 at 11PM. This post reflects the new information.

That's all fine and dandy except it doesn't actually do temp control. Sigelei is making Pioneer 4 you look like Provape with their threats to reviewers. Nobody should support this mafia. I'll just leave this here to prove how :censored: up they are.

Thank you very much for the information. Nobody has ever presented a video with evidence of TC failure to me in the past. This changes everything and I've reflected that in the post above.

Because I now have 6 - 213s, and they all do wattage mode, I don't consider it a total loss. They are small, and I use it every day. But, b/c I have 6, I also am no longer in the market for Sigelei mods, b/c I'm looking for TC box mods.

That's what this forum is for, I've learned everything from this forum. Anyways the Sigelei 150w TC does TC fine, after they stopped using Yihi boards is when it went to hell. It's a shame because there devices were solid before all this.

Hahahaha... I have a 150 too!

In any case... it must have been yesterday, some guy went looney on me on ECF b/c I recommended Fuchai 213s for TC. He said I must own Sigelei stock or something and then blocked me. That didn't help anyone.

All that we have to do is to respect ea other in the forums to get the message across. The more polite we are, and the more convincing the evidence is, then truth shall prevail.

I wish I had seen that video earlier today before I bought two additional Fuchai 213s. But, like I said for a pure wattage device, they rock. Got them for around $50 ea and I like the look of them. I've got two grey and two blue Fuchai 213s. But that is the end of the road for them unless I see a true TC mod.

If I think abt all the money I lost on lawyers, playing pinball, and smoking, it's just a drop in the bucket. Does not matter to me.

NOW!!! On to find the best Kangertech and DNA 200 mods! :)

Just asking for verification here. While the 213 "fails" to do TC in TCR and TFR mode, does it not do TC using the other pre-sets? I have managed to get a reasonably decent TC vape (not what I would consider DNA200 good) with the Ti and SS 316L settings with temp and ramp up adjustments. Is the claim "it does not do TC" completely accurate?

LOL true! I must say the 213 is sexy, just don't like the horse crap that happened to Daniel. The Hotcig DNA 200, and Hcigar VT200 have been really good for me. The Hotcig DOES use a Fullymax 900 mah battery now, and the 510 is the best I've ever seen. The VT200 is also solid.

I agree. Reviewers that do honest reviews should be brought in to the fold, thanked, and then sent away with a cash prize. The world is coming around to that in some areas. For computer security they are paid for bug hunting, and that is how it should be.

Ahhh! THAT is where we made the mistake!

Those of us who tested and attempted to use TC on the 213 and were having issues failed to make a VIDEO! o_O

I guess as far as ECF if you don't have a video, it did not happen.

Nobody presented any evidence that they had tested with temperature probes. And Sigelei presented a video that showed that the Sig 213 used the F scale, and the Fuchai 213 used the C scale...and that it was a simple case of not knowing which scale to make use of.

Sooooo... I went out and bought some Fuchai 213s and some 316L, thinking I'd be all set.

In the interim there were a few people here on ECF that said TC didn't work on the Sig 213. But that was all explained away by fact that they did not use the correct TC numbers on the F scale.

Then the name calling and blocking started against Sigelei 213 owners who did not know what to believe.

If you want to make it out to be over your lack of a video, go ahead. I think there was more to it than that.

While the Sigelei video helped explain ONE mode of the TCR failures, it did not address why all three TC modes and the power mode did not operate as advertised. (let alone the garbled screens)

No matter how a opinion is developed, everyone is entitled to having one.

My remaining 213 now takes up space in a junk drawer.
