Cirrus is waaaaay overpriced, especially for a mini model. There are many better options at much lower cost: Kgo, E-Power, Volt, etc.

My questions was about battery life. The Cirrus 3x seems to last longer. I've compared it side by side with a standard volt 56mm and it lasts three times as long. I want to know if there is an equivalent in size and battery life.

Battery life is measured in "mAh" rating. 100 mAh = 1 hour of light to moderate vaping. Most mini's are in the 90 mAh - 180 mAh range. What is the mAh rating of the 3x? If they don't tell you, that says something right there.

Models like the Kgo come with 1000+ mAh rated batteries. The highest mAh rated mini model battery I have seen is around 300 mAh but they are much longer than the traditional mini.

Physics determines the size of the battery. Cirrus claims they redesigned the battery and they now have a better charger. From what I see on their website, they just made a longer battery. Cirrus doesn't have some new magic technology that no one else in the world has invented. Don't get caught up in market speak, batteries are batteries.

You basically have 180 Mah, 280 Mah and 380 Mah KR808 batteries in the slim sizes. The more Mah the longer they stay charged. Lots of vendors have different sizes of KR808 batteries, check the verified vendor section. Some to take a look at might be:

VaporKings
Vapor4Life
MyVaporStore
Bloog
GoodProphets
CigEasy

If you shop you can find a comparable or better kit than GreenSmoke or Cirrus for a third of the cost.

Saying it lasts 3x longer is misleading.
It is the same size battery as the smokeless image 78mm battery.

They have it regulated to a lower voltage and use high resistance cartos.

If you put a 2.6ohm-2.8ohm carto on it, you will not get nearly the battery life that they claim.

Then to top it off, they are ridiculously overpriced. I mean really, $65 for a "mini" battery? Are they insane? And I thought vapor 4 life was expensive at $25.

Be careful of claims by companies. All numbers can be manipulated to fit their needs. I can get my 78mm volt battery to outlast a 650mah kgo on a puff by puff comparison. It all comes down to numbers.

So all else equal, if I get the 78mm Volt batteries, my battery life will be equivalent to the cirrus 3x ?

78mm batteries are 320 Mah so about 3 hours of moderate vaping assuming you are using a 3.0 Ohm cartomizer.

I don't like how they measure in "puffs". What does 600 puffs mean exactly? How big is a "puff"? If you take big mouthfuls of vapor and blow out clouds like I do, you are not going to get 600 "puffs" from any little cartomizer. The best measure is how long can you vape before charging your battery?

battery life would be equivalent......... unless White Cloud discovered a breakthrough technology and don't want to release it to the public to use for car batteries, laptops, etc......Oh and didn't want to accept their Nobel prize in Physics...:)

3 times the storage ability would be a news flash alert important discovery....

White Cloud is a notorious rip off vendor. Do a search for them here. ECF people are trying to be nice and not tell you this in so many words, but I'll just come out and say it. This is the new person forum, and people need to know you're being charged a massive amount for what you can get for $12. Don't feel bad. I got screwed with a bad bat at my local store then SmokeTip ripped me off for months. I'm not talking just a little pricy, I'm talking White Cloud=screw job. I'm just stating this as fact to save new people money later on. I don't mean to be insensitive but I'm just telling you now because buying a product or two is one thing, but by the time you figure out the score you could easily spend hundreads and hundreds of dollars, maybe even a grand when you could have got better stuff at 1/5th the price. They are not a reputable company at all.

From everything I have seen, it seems that they base it on 3 second puffs. But you still have to take into account what the battery voltage is and what resistance the coil is. For example. A 320mah battery at 3.7v using a 2.8 ohm carto can get about 290-300 three seconds puffs where as if that battery is at 3.3v with a 3.0ohm carto it jumps to 350 three second puffs
Now if you use the first example of a 3.7v battery with a 2.8ohm carto, if I take 1 3 second puff each minute, I can vape it 4 1/2 to 5 hours. The problem is no one is that precise with their vaping.

Yes, Here is a video about the smokeless image products. Smokeless Image Volt Demonstration and CE3 Cartomizers - YouTube

There is also one about the X2, which is a ego battery with 808 threads as well.

I am new to ecf and i love the volt. .I almost got sucked into the cirrus marketing, but, thanks to this forum, i got a volt, and its been keepig me off analogs for 2 months now. .

I have a smokeless image Mega PCC. It works for me. I was a 1/2 pack a day smoker and I go through about 3 65mm batteries a day. I get 3 full charges from dead to fully charged out of the mega PCC of the 65mm. I thought I should get closer to 5 or 6, but I don't. 3 full charges then the PCC is dead. I contacted SI customer service, which is great!, they sent me a new battery but I still only get 3 charges out of it. .I decided not to pursue it further as 3 charges and 2 batteries is more than enough to get me through the day..

The best PCC for the 808ds is to throw your PCC away! Get a slim or regular 100s cigarette case from Amazon for like $10 and simply carry extra charged bats with cartos screwed on. Slim case can carry 1-3, regular 5-6. I vape hard and when my friend invited me to a 2pm to all night party I went with 2 PCCS, 1 case and carto case in my pockets and it sucked! The money you waste on a PCC will buy you some extra bats. Toss them in a slim case and you will never hassle with a PCC again or worry if your bat dies. When your PCC breaks on that all day 12hr sales rollout you will be sad you didn't listen. You can go to that 6 hr party with no fear. I give props to the Bloog reps for telling me that--changed my life from hassle to easy. Bloog is also great for 808ds and their cartos rock as blanks--try their 102mm.

Just say NO to PCCS! :)

If you want to be really happy buy 1-2 of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Usb-Rosewill-...&sr=1-1&keywords=Rosewill+Rhb-330+Black+7port

They are dirt cheap and charge 5 bats at once (need the usb parts). Save you wall space and charger $$. Keep 5 bats fired up--always have spare bats. Friend calls for party unscrew all the bats toss into a case and you are gtg. 2 outlets for 10 bats :)

I had 102mm for home vaping and 78s for cases (102s will fit but not with cartos on)

Also, even though you may want that small cig feel, migrating to at least the 78s will give you more power and vape time and not be all that different from a cig.

Ask yourself: you want to be on your friend's boat for an all day party with 1 slim case and 6bats or a Chinese made pocket bulging PCC hoping to God it can last.

And get a car pass thru--it will cover you for power outages! When that tropical storm hits you will be snug in your car while your neighbors cry at 2 days w/o power!
