who is the oldest E cig user here ????
Hey guys , I red so many posts talking about shortness of breath, the e liquid base VG,PG allergy, the Flavors and the popcorn lung disease, and a lot of you guys thought its related to the mixture of VG/PG Or additives in the flavors or both.
I just wanna know why the complainers about the e cig sounds more than the ones who are comfy with it?????????
anyone who browses the health safety and E smoking can easily notice that. but i might be wrong.

Anyway, I want to ask some of the old vapors who have been vaping for years to step up and tell us how they feel about it please? ?? would u do it all over again???
how many years did u smoke before??? since when u are a vapor ???
a lot of the folks who developed shortness of breath are new vapors , like in the first 3 months and some up to 6 months , what about guys who have been vaping for years ??? where are these guys ???
are they healthy and happy with vaping?????
Please share if you can

God Bless

I don't think anyone ever vaped for more than 3 years, this thing is still quite new, I don't even think you can count people in the hundreds for people who vaped for more than 2 years.

As for me, a 7 months old guinea pig vapers, I feel fine.

There's a new poll about long term vapers here that is becoming quite interesting as more and more people vote : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/polls/135056-long-term-success-rate.html

Been smoke free ~9 weeks after a 47 year, 2ppd habit. Lung capacity, taste, & smell returning
gradually. Happy to be rid of the hacking and shortness of breath that was everyday routine.
Hope to kick the nic addiction by gradual reduction where patch, gum, Chantrix (sp?) attempts failed.
Learned a lot about changing my habits in the process - - - How do I feel ? ..... 15-20 years younger !!

There aren't a lot of reasons for 'old timers' to be highly active (posting) all over the forum. We've had most of the discussions hundreds of times by now. That's why there is a separate section for Veterans.

I've been vaping for two and a half years and I'm just fine with vaping. I have had an above average number of medical tests due to pre-existing chronic conditions and nothing detrimental has shown up regarding vaping. Blood work including levels & vitamins/minerals, thyroid, MRIs, EEG, EKG, Spinal Tap, colonoscopy, blood pressure, cholesterol... I can't recall everything, but nothing that's been checked or treated has been negatively affected by vaping (nothing new or different than it was). I vape immediately before all testing and/or while being treated, nothing shows up. I've never had/been treated for hypertension or high cholesterol and both measures are better than they were pre-vaping, and thyroid a bit better also.

I'm definitely not the oldest vaper but should be considered one of the old timers, i guess.

Though i feel that i'm a rather conservative old timer, seeing that i've yet to try any of the more daring mods out there.

I'm not as healthy as i want to be but definitely healthier than i was when smoking analogs.

Dec 4th 2009 is when I dropped my last pack of analogs on the kitchen table, and told my wife to burn them. Smell better, coughing is gone, only had 1 short cold last winter (normally have 3-5 a year), and my crohn's attacks have been cut in half. Looking forward to my one year anniv. gift, a botton feeding mod, the Ali'i.

I am 47 years old , I have smoked regular cigarettes and cigars since i was 7 years old ( I know shame on me ) and NO my parents did not know I smoked until I was 15 and did everything humanly possible to stop me to no avail ... at any rate on to the story I first started at 7 and smoked here and there when I could get a cig not like I was smoking a lot of them but was smoking none the less ...by the time I was 14 or so a pack lasted me 2 days at best , by 18 a pack a day , by 21 a pack and a half a day until 47 years of age .....the last 3 years have been cigar cigarettes ( 20 in a pack like a cigarette but cigars ) 3 months ago I got my first e-cig and since have smoked about 2 packs of cigs total ( during dead batteries or whatever ) my lung capacity seems to have doubled in that short time and I feel better and have more energy than before , I do not have any form of shortness of breath , heaviness in the chest has all dissipated and I am very happy I made the switch !! granted I am not a long term vapor at this point but I do not see myself EVER going back to being a " smoker" once in awhile I light one and am in disbelief that I actually liked it ...they taste so nasty !! I believe for a while anyways I will probably continue to light one up here and there to remind myself just how bad it tasted ( and to think I used to enjoy that YUCK )

I don't consider myself an old timer around here but I can tell you that I can run twice as far on the treadmill as I used to when I was a smoker and feel alot better than I did when I smoked.

I can certainly say I can watch someone run on a treadmill twice as long and feel great, myself :).

OK, got this link from Hitt.
Started Vaping summer of '08, initially went down from 2.5pks/day to a few, have to say I'm up to about 10-20 analogs/day now.
Still cut out 30 or so a day. And I do feel fine, other than getting old!
If you want the biggest drop I know, contact Steve Milin (smilin) from V4life. He used to chain smoke 4-5 packs a day!
