I went to my new doc a few days ago. First visit, and also to address my insane allergies this year, and asthma, and shortness of breath. I was pretty scared she would bash my e-cig, or look at it like she had never seen one before and suggest I dump it
.
Nope.
Instead, when I told her I quit smoking almost a year ago, and started vaping instead (waved around my kr808
) and when I moved to WA state a couple of months ago, my allergies went bonkers, like never before, causing asthma attacks, and I was constantly congested.
She explained about the cillia had regrown, and I was producing mucus again like a normal non-smoking person, and that the gunk and junk in my lungs from 20 years of smoking was still moving out of my system, now my body could really do the job. The allergies were something I had all the time, just been suppressed by the smoking and the dead cillia. This is also one of the worst reported years for allergens/mold season in Wa state, to boot.
I asked her flat out, "It's not the e-cig causing any of this?" she said NO! She laughed and said, "The first reason is because you aren't inhaling smoke anymore!"
So, even a year after quitting, my body is still clearing itself out from the gunk, the e-cig is innocent of all charges, and I have a couple of inhalant medications to help me get the rest of that garbage that smoking all those years caused out of my lungs for good.
So, I feel tons better about using my e-cig and more confident than ever that I made the right decision to vape.
