I can certainly say I can watch someone run on a treadmill twice as long and feel great, myself :).

I can watch TV watching someone else run on a treadmill for awhile, but I get bored and normally take a nap where, at times, I have run under 4 minute miles.

Okay, on a more serious note. Started vaping 16.5 months ago when I was a 2-3 pack a day smoker at the end of 43 years indulging myself. I'm 63 and immediately cut my cig count down to about a half dozen a day when I started vaping. At seven months, I found Swedish snus which totally eliminated all cigs. Two and a half months from now will be my first smokefree year.

No adverse effects from vaping although today I only vape occasionally because "if you're happy and you know it pop a snus!"

I guess I should chime in here too. I have been analog free and vaping for just a few days shy of 17 months now. I followed the suggestion of someone here when I first started. I got all my ecig supplies and charged all my parts. The very next morning I started vaping and simply did not light another cigarette. First couple of days were a bit rough. But then got better. Third day as 20% vG juices mostly Dekang. I have since worked myself down to about 12mg with a 70%PG 30% VG base in both commercial as well as home brew juices. This seems to be my sweet spot. Just enough nic to keep me calm and relatively normal. Not enough nic to cause me to be shaky or keep me awake at night.

I did have quite a few side effects in the beginning. Dry mouth, itching, coughing, irregular sleeping patterns, facial breakouts, etc..... I still get the occasional breakout and still have some itchy skin issues (only after shaving, fixed with Lubriderm lotion). The break outs only seem to happen after I have used products intended to stop breakouts. Go figure. Plain soap and water= no breakouts. Hmmmmm. Don't know what is up with that. Dry skin is an issue that lotion seems to mostly take care of. I drink more now which solves the dry mouth issue, and my sleep is back to as normal as it gets.

I smoked an average of 2+ packs per day for just over 26 years. I had not really suffered any cigarette related problems when I quit aside from the dreaded smoker's cough, so I am hopeful that I quit before it was too late. I no longer wake up coughing and I no longer get a month long cough with every cold that comes my way. Getting sick now is generally a few days when before a simple cold would last weeks. I feel fantastic, can taste my food the way it was meant to taste and I no longer smell like I have bathed in an ashtray. I have not regretted vaping nor do I plan on quitting my vaping hobby any time soon (it simply tastes too good).

Twenty months ago I smoked my last analog. I was one of those who never intended to quit---bought my first to use around my daughter & her family when I went to visit.
Didn't have any ill affects except an allergic reaction to using 100% PG.
Health wise, my doctor has cut my blood pressure meds and I no longer use Advair or an inhaler (yes, I was smoking myself to death and I knew it).
Last year I swam 3/4 the length of a swimming pool on one breath and can still do it today.

Quit Analogs about 3 days into vaping, that was in July 2009. I no longer have a cough of any kind, even if I get a cold. My skin looks good, my blood pressure runs 120/65 most of the time, whereas before it was starting to creep up a little. I've gained no weight and I love vaping!

My mods: Little Chuck, Silver Bullet, GLV-2, Journeyman. And, yes, I use all of them except the Little Chuck almost every day.

I was a heavy smoker, 2-3 PAD. I started smoking when I was 12. Started vaping early 2008 and immediately dropped to around 1/2 PAD. I had equipment problems with various models and that inhibited my progress some. Stopped analogs for good when I discovered HV vaping about six months ago, it took 3.7 volts to get me off :p

Ok, short and to the point.

28 Year Old male, always great health
Been vaping 7 months (quite a bit) No cigs
Only noticeable side effect: Dry throat if I vape till bed time.

Other than that I feel great. Still on the look out for any symptoms of something terrible. Smoking (for 8 years) never caused me health problems, so its hard to compare.

December is my 1 year anniversary and I feel free for the first time in 45 years! I quit several times but always went back to smoking. The last few years I was a closet smoker (didn't want anyone to know I was once again unsuccessful) and had to use air freshener and breath mints to cover up the stench after I had a cigarette. Now my PV doesn't leave my hand for very long. My lungs are clear and I smell good!

Not sure if it's related to vaping but my blood pressure is high and my pulse rate is up when I do even small chores. I have an appointment to have that checked out and I imagine it's just my age and general poor health.

I started vaping at 24mg and now I'm down to 0-12mg depending on how I feel. When I was buying eLiquid from vendors I didn't feel like I could rely on the amount of nicotine in the juice so I have been doing DIY since around March.
