what company produces the best vanilla flavor? I'm looking for straight vanilla. In your opinions which one makes you say "dang, that sure is vanilla".

though I'm sure that the extraction is much better, i'm kind of looking for something more...immediate.
I have found Nature's Flavours Organic Vanilla to be about as true as it gets. Their alcohol based flavor for coffee/tea. I tried every vendor's vanilla and hated it. It's potent and a little goes a long way. At the moment, I am using about 2% vanilla in a 22% flavor mix. At 2%, it is enough to add a noticeable vanilla foundation for a simple 2 flavor combination, that has since become my all day vape.
DIY Flavorshack's Holy Vanilla is the truest vanilla flavor I have found and I've tried a bunch! I wanted a true vanilla with no bells and whistles (swirls, custard, French etc.). This one is pure vanilla with nothing added. And Dawn is a sweetheart of a vendor as a plus. 
Unfortunately the only finished product I have is with Alcohol I'll have to wait another month for the Alcohol free.
Since I don't know how many Vanilla Beans to PG ratio you used in your Extraction or how patient you were I can't give a hard set rule for percentages. I would say one drop per 10 ml would be a good starting point.

Vanilla snobs say it takes two years to make a good Vanilla Extract.
How long are you planning on waiting? I haven't tried it yet, I does sound interesting to me.

I talked with some other Chef's and we all agreed on two months. So it has another month to go.

The whole point of my making a new batch was to have PG as a base I've never had a reason to make a alcohol free extraction.
I would love to make Vanilla Extract with all the different beans, but I settled on Madagascar Bourbon.
I slit two Vanilla Beans down the middle and they're sitting in 100% PG
They have been in there for one month and you can see that it's definitely extracting the Vanilla.
