I just ordered a sample bottle of Holy Vanilla! :)

Does anyone know what the recommended percentage is?

It varies, like most vendors, but I will say from testing about 10 of their flavors, I'd start at 5% on a 5ml sample bottle of whatever blend of PG/VG you prefer. This way you're not wasting flavoring or supplies.

To give you an example of what I mean by varies, I'll use Sugar Cream. More than 2% and it's overpowering and will dominate most anything you can mix. It's potent to say the least. On the other hand, Pound Cake she recommends up to 20% (directly from a post here in her own forum). I tried 10-15% and it's hit or miss. I don't feel it has a true pound cake flavor (missing the cakeyness) and comes off more creamy and potentially slightly buttery.

I have 14 vanilla flavorings, so I've tried a few. I've narrowed it down to the 3 best that work in all my recipes. All are PLAIN VANILLA, not creamy or custard or lemony - just plain, clean, good vanilla.
They're all by FlavourArt: Vanilla Classic (sweeter and milder), Vanilla Tahiti (probably my most-used), and Vanilla Bourbon (not like the alcoholic beverage, just a good darker vanilla flavor). They are perfect vanilla taste with nothing else added, so I can sweeten, add cream, or whatever to my liking.

For kiddie candy flavors (think Halloween baskets) I often use plain Vanillin. Most actual candy uses it instead of gourmet vanilla extract, so vanillin gives those flavors a more accurate taste. But in my coffee and bakery flavors - gourmet-tasting FA vanillas only. :)

My latest plain vanilla vape is 3% of each of the three FA vanillas, 2% FA Fresh Cream, and EM to sweeten to taste. I'm liking the goopy custardy flavors less and less, and this vape more by the day. Leaves a GREAT scent behind, too!
