I prefer 80pg/20vg, but I accept the resulting drop in ratio when adding a little 5-10% WTA (100% vg) to my tobacco flavored juices. Also, I accept the 100% vg WTA straight when dripping 3-4 drops with my first cup of coffee in the morning. If I use heavy ratios of vg for very long, I get a phlegm type cough going on. Yuck.

I've been using the 100% VG WTA too, mixed into everything I vape at 10%; I use this calculator and just add the WTA as a "flavor" (even though it's "un-") at 10%, and still keep my PG up to 80%-85%; it's the easiest way to be sure that a) I get all the WTA I need, and b) I get high enough PG so I can keep breathing.
I prefer about 70 PG. The throat hit and easy wicking is a must for me. I have tried a few 100 VG juices but to be honest i didn't see much of a vapor increase. The flavor is rather weak and wicking a BVC coil is a nightmare.
Well I refilled with one of my 50/50 juices. Vapor does seem thicker compared to the 67% PG juice. {Sigh} Guess my preference is still 50/50 for now (so many choices though...so little time!)
I usually use at least 75% pg. I don't like sweet flavors, and vg tastes decidedly sweet to me. I'm much more interested in flavor than clouds, so it works out great. I make my own liquids, so I've tried higher pg, but it gets a little too thin with more than 85% pg.
too high of a PG or nic ratio is too rough on my throat. i don`t understand this because i was a heavy smoker for 40+ years and analogs never bothered my throat. i DIY and also buy juice from online vendors. if they offer max VG i go for it. if not and the juice is a standard 50/50 i can`t seem to handle it till i cut it with some VG. when i DIY i use VG based nicotine. most flavorings are PG based and my mixes are anywhere from 8% to 23% flavorings(PG). this is at 6mg nic. any higher nic or PG and i end up coughing from harshness. i never had any problems with wicking in protanks, kayfuns or my magma dripper using high VG juices. when i first started vaping i ordered 2 bottles from azure vaping at 80PG/20VG and 36 mg nic. one was blueberry cotton candy and the other was cherry something(can`t recall). the flavor is fantastic but i just can`t vape it in this mix. sometimes i`ll add a drop or two to a tank of my DIY RY4 and make a "bluebacco" or cherry tobacco. most people seem to tolerate PG much better than i do. YMMV
I was mixing at 60vg/40pg or 70vg/30pg and was getting the heavy chest feeling like so many of you.
I just swapped ratios to 70pg/30vg and like it much better, and it has just as much cloud as any other mix with better taste.
