On April 11th, 2009 I drove about 30 minutes to a Pilot Travel Center and paid $95.40 for an Njoy penstyle starter kit and one extra pack of pre-filled cartridges. (total cost was easily over $100.00 when the travel expense is added in) Excitedly, I opened the kit in the car, in the Pilot parking lot, only to discover that one of the batteries didn't work (and Pilot does NOT give refunds or replacements.) So, while my supportive and encouraging wife drove home, I began my vaping experience. And, although I had to limp along on only one functioning battery, I managed to quit analogs by May 1st, 2009. Twenty two years of slavery to tobacco had come to an end!
Today, I vape low nicotine liquid about two thirds of the time, and no nicotine liquid the rest of the time. And I preach the gospel of vapor to anyone who will listen!
I am certain that I would never go back to tobacco if e-cigs disappeared tomorrow. It's too expensive, dangerous, socially unacceptable, and my nicotine addiction is so low now that I would easily give it up altogether if I had to.
It makes me truly feel sad inside when I see other tobacco-addicts standing outside smoking in the blazing heat of summer or the freezing cold of winter. I know exactly how they feel, and I long to help them break free.
Thank God for electronic cigarettes...that's all I can say.
