You said it. Until someone has to stand in the heat of the spotlight, they will just do whatever they want and when they lose just blame someone else then slink away. They should have to pay the taxpayers back for wasting time on them.

Would love to see some ban happy politician on the spit explaining that well um you see there I ........ would be priceless.

if you are looking for a face for e-smokes for the purpose of gaining public awareness i dont think politicians are the way to go.. you need some rich, well respected performance artists, preferably one who has a story to tell about a family member of theirs dying from smoking and them smoking for years then finding e-cigs.

then get them to go to all their letterman n leno appearances n smoke them on camera... that'll get things going

I believe that the OP was looking for suggestions for people to serve in a panel discussion on the Freedom Watch program. There would need to be spokespersons on the side of tobacco Harm Reduction who are knowledgable about the science as it relates to e-cigarettes, and there would need to be spokespersons on the side of the FDA explaining why they believe that it is safer for us to inhale 110,000 ng of carcinogens a day from smoke instead of 8 ng a day from vapor.

That was the original thought. Grew to include ban happy idiots who should have to explain why vaping is the same as smoking. The Judge just has a way with these kinds of folks. :D Figured I'd line up a couple of targets for him as well as a few hints on who could supply him with some great ammo to rip these guys' arguments apart.

But basically OP is grasping at straws. Worked myself into such a frenzy over this whole mess that I forgot to focus on my vape and ended up right back where these idiots want us, smoking a pack of camel lights..........wait arent lights cigs banned now too????? Maybe that's why they were on sale :p

Trying to navigate the world of broadcast television, simpleminded bureaucratic idiots, and holier than thou politicians will really give you a serious headache....although come to think of it the headache gets worse with every analog, so gotta get back to vaping ASAP. (fortunately you can always count on a pack of analogs running out)

Unfortunately this like some of my other threads sounded good in my head and then quickly went off track. Easy to get all excited and jump in head first without bothering to check the water depth. Fortunately I can always count on someone coming along to help me up and point me in the right direction if needed.

Started a Discussion topic on the Freedom Watch Facebook Page. (I suggested Dr. Nitzkin and Dr. Siegel, as well as Dr. Brad Rodu and Dr. Carl Phillips.)

Everyone, please join in.

FDA vs. E-Cigarette | Facebook

Dr. Rodu writes the blog Tobacco Truth: Tobacco Truth
Dr. Phillips is one of the Authors of the Tobacco Harm Reduction News & Views: Tobacco Harm Reduction: News & Opinions
Who would be the most articulate and make the best impression on TV? Don"t forget that aspect of it.Sometimes someone can communicate beautifully in print, but not verbally.

I would have thought RavenVapes5v510 would be a shoo-in after this video:

Works for me.

Ah yes, but what about the most sympathetic testimony? I understand the idea of respected. But the title suggested 'Face' of Vape and it made me think of Corey. :)

Interesting how many celebs seem to be popping out of the woodwork. Really wish they'd be more outspoken, but probably feeling the leftover smoker shame/stereotype. If they 'promote' them then they are going against the anti's and get accused of targeting kids.

Gotta love the ol catch twenty two. Million dollar ad campaigns for Chantix which have to have the lawyerese explaining how this stuff could kill ya, but ecig commercials are only infomercials for iffy setups.

Hopefully at least Corey might be less controversial than Rush. But at this point, anyone willing to vape publicly as a public figure has to be a good thing for the cause in general.

That's what I think too CtryBoy, I agree that's why I suggested Corey Feldman as opposed to Rush. :)
