Who uses DIYFS flavors like I do?

Hello everyone, I have an issue. I have tried several of DIY Flavor Shack's flavors and some of them are really good. But when I post a recipe on in other circles, and because other people either A. cannot find information on said flavor or B. instantly pass judgment because they've never tried it, they are completely missing out on how good the recipe is. I need to know which one of you possibly uses these flavors? I live here in Las Vegas so it's very convenient for me to go get them and mix recipes with other more common flavors and they rock. I have a great Caramel Drizzled Banana Pudding I just made and I want anyone who has these to try it and help me get DIY Flavor Shack more on the map for the good flavors they put out. By the way, Joey, inventor of Holy Vanilla when he was with DIYORDIE, works there. (Also, I made this to get over my issue that I've had with smelling caramel in vapes...they were too strong for me when I smelled others vaping them.)
* Please let me know if there's a more of an appropriate forum for me to post this question? I am new here.

Caramel Drizzled Banana Pudding
(Work in progress!)
Mixed at 80VG (Steeping)

DIYFS Banana 3.75%
TFA Banana Cream DX 4%
CAP Caramel V2 1% (Going to change this one in future.)
HS Italian Cream .3%
VTA Pudding Base 1.5%

Thanks!

I won a $25 credit in a giveaway otherwise I probably wouldn’t have ever tried them because of their prices. Anyway my favorites are
1: Angel food cake
2: Holy vanilla
3: Gooey butter cake
They are really flavorful, excellent concentrations. These three are crazy good

I did not want to use a different caramel because the banana cream and the Italian cream already have enough chemical interaction for the day.
Thanks!
Hi. What chemical interaction do you mean?

To put it in a nutshell, basically when I have two or more ingredients that have some kind of warning on it because of something that contains. I'm eating lunch right now so I don't have all the fancy chemical names on me right now. On my ELR flavorstash, it shows any kind of that thing.

It's something I read about mixing Acetoin, DAAPs, and another kind of B...acid that can have some negative results on our health. I am new and have lots of learning to do!

I learned to mix from the folks at DIYFS. I still keep Holy Vanilla, Holy Holy Grail, and BlackJack(regular and wine) on hand. They are my main go to for mixing supplies. Now I mainly go through BCF or NicRiv for nic and flavors. It is really convenient having them in town.
Thanks for posting that recipe. It sounds yummy. I'll give it a try next time I am mixing. Adding the needed flavors to the list.

Thank you!!! Finally someone who can taste my stuff. A complex but still rookie mixer needs feedback. I don't even know what the Holy Holy Grail is yet, but you'll have to let me know and I will look it up too.. I made a base that I'm steeping right now that I called the Holy Rich base. You made my day Skunk!

Oh, ok I get you Diacetyl, Acetoin and Acetyl propionyl.
Flavour Art Caramel is the best I have ever tasted and has none of those. ;)

I love Holy Vanilla. I have a problem with caramel but it's one of my favorite flavors. If you have a recommendation I'd love to hear it. Most caramels taste way too chemical like to me.

What would you say is the minimum steep time on that? I have the patience of a two-year-old with a piece of candy.

Mmm, maybe get away with 2 to 3 but it really comes its best after 4.
Lots of diy concentrates take at least a month to shine. Plenty can be shake n vape but even most of those will even inprove with a longer steep. FA Citrus mix you can shake n vape and its pretty good but leave it for a month and it's so much better. Bakery, creams, custards all shine after at least a 1 month steep and you wont get anything Patience taste they can give in just a week or two. Im sitting on a chocolate custard right now thats been steeping for 3 weeks now and I am not touching it for another 2. I shake my head when I see concentrate reviews where they say they tried it after it was mixed just a week or few days ago then give an opinion like "err, not very nice, avoid this one". Man, thats like mixing up a home brew beer and giving it the thumbs down after you just made it a few days ago. Patience pays off. :thumb:

Are you saying that mixing those two ingredients produces an exothermic reaction (heat is produced from the interaction)? If so, then yeah that's not going to be a good combo.

Being so new, I am not sure. Mayne you could tell me by looking up those ingredients if I made a bad combo? Gonna change the caramel tho.

I have never heard of any flavorings creating an exothermic reaction when mixed. That doesn't mean that it can't possibly happen. You can test this out in a very tiny dish, pour a little of one and then the other in. If they produce heat, do not use them together.
