Who uses xc-116 ceramic wick?

Well I finally got around to torching the ceramic wick. Got it white hot throughout and let it cool down. When I went to cut a piece, it literally fell apart in my hands, leaving behind tiny flakes of the material. The flame that came off during the burning process was also a strange green color...didn't look very safe haha.

If anyone is interested, the link below is to the MSDS for all Omega XC series ceramics. The green flame I saw is likely produced due to the amount of boron contained in the "aluminaborosilicate" per Omega's MSDS (sounds like an ingredient in a cigarette haha). I do need to say that I'm not trying to deter anyone from using it, but unless a professional says "this is safe to use" then I'm sticking to cotton even if it burns sometimes. The flakes were also a huge deterrent.
