I think y'all may be on to something here, I have had my first Type-B for about a week and a half and the first tank I pierced leaked a tiny bit, but this second one I filled on Monday and have not filled it since, it is one I use for my desert flavor but it has no leaks what so ever and has held on to the juice since monday and it is still half full. No loss of draw, flavor or TH and it has been in and attached to the battery the whole week sitting on it's side.

There is no doubt that the cap could be a problem. In my initial review I mentioned that it does 'snap' into place and if you don't get that snap most likely it isn't properly fit. The other thing - rather evident but could cause a problem is that there are two flat sides and two rounded sides and if someone would not notice that there would be a problem.

That said, the problems that some have had is blowing the wick out of the spike which can cause flooding/leaking. Once fixed the problem disappears for most.

I had a tank leak on me today, and after reading this from TW, I checked the cap. I noticed that the cap was actually on kind of loose and was a bit wobbly. If you take the cap off and look at the sides you notice the groove that snaps into place on the tank. I think that that grove separates out a bit and prevents a good seal, and you get some leaking. I tried squeezing it back together with some pliers, but I doubt that will last all that long. I guess the best way to fill these is with a syringe, but I really don't want to have to carry on around with me as they won't fit on my 5ml bottles, also that's kind of a pain.

It's funny that you say that. I believe TW on to something - I've done some testing (same atty, different tank/cap combos) and I've come to the conclusion that the cap on the tank seems to be the key to the leaking issues. I don't know about single use, but I know I've got some caps that leak, and some that don't. I think sometimes it goes wrong when the cap is first pierced. I'd be more than happy to buy a giant bag of replacement caps as opposed to whole tanks. Anyone else thinking the same thing?

Overall, it's been two weeks with the same Type-B atty and I've had minimal issues - just the leaking with certain tanks (or should I say certain caps?).

That's what TW is selling, a single tank with extra caps for around 2 bucks. They don't tell you how many caps you get though. I plan on buying one later in the week to find out, as it's good to have spares. I also keep the blanks that come with the atties just so I can have the spare mouth piece and insert.

I just emailed TW to ask how many extra caps their tanks come with. I also asked them if they would consider just selling extra caps. I will let you know if they email me back. I wonder if Vicky at cignot would be willing to sell them separately as well. Honestly I think this whole leaking issue could be improved if they would mill the caps from stainless steel.

Now I know it would cost extra for the tanks if they did this, but my idea would be to mill the entire tank of stainless with a window in it for view of fluid level and then just put a rubber gasket where the cap goes as well as a one way rubber dam in the hole where the atty spike goes. Just my thoughts on it but it seems like a great and long lasting tank design to me. Also, something I noticed with my Tanks and atty's. I believe that a good portion of what I would call "Leaking" is actually built up condensation from the vaping process itself. I say this because i ran my finger through the liquid inside the atty today and it has a much different consistency than the Juice does. So I think most of it is actually just condensation.

I don't know if it will work well or not since I just ordered my Type B LR from Cignot, but I saved a link from long ago for precision oilers on eBay. They are either 15ml or 30ml (roughly 1/2 oz or 1oz). They have a needle cap attached to the bottle so you could just fill through the open hole without removing the cap. I hate having actual syringes around (blunt or not) since I have young children in the house.

3 pack Precision Oiler - Needle Tip Oiler Bottle 1/2 oz | eBay

There is another 1 oz option available, but I opted for these since they have a metal cap with a rubber gasket.

Those will definitely work - I have a few. Pre-puncture with something else though.

Those precision oilers look pretty good. TW replied to me, they give you 10 caps with each tank, so for just under 5 bucks you could get 20 spare caps. I don't know if I am going to go that route or try the oilers.

Unless you're really strapped for cash, I don't think you'd regret getting the oilers - pretty good deal actually. But thanks for the info on the spare caps. Some might have a consideration of using the needle tip while out and what they could do is dedicate a few tanks for 'going out' and make them the ones you use the spare caps on... At home use the oilers.

The needle tip can also be used to fill the mega eGo carto, the joye 510 carto and the CE2 and 'clearomizer/tankomizer' cartos. They're also good for 801 large filler carts where ejuice tends to stay at the bottom of the cart well and the atty just wicks off the top. Refilling from the bottom 'pushes' the ejuice up and everything remains fresh. So the oilers are nice to have if you ever get into any of those products. Frankly, I like the spare cap deal - If I didn't have a fine tipped plastic bottle I'd probably do the suggestion in the first paragraph...

I bought 5 tanks which should net me 50 spare caps for around $17.00 including shipping. I also have some fine tipped plastic bottles as well, problem is they are 1 oz sized and to big to fit in my carry case. What I would really like is a 5 or 10 ml fine tipped bottle or oiler. The smallest I could find on ebay though was 15ml oilers which is to big. You wouldn't happen to know where I could find something in the 5 to 10 ml size that could fill these tanks up without removing the caps would you?

Thanks Kent C, those look promising. The injector bottle looks like that would probably work. I was out with the wife tonight however and wound up at Michaels. In the section with the model airplanes and cars I found this for less than two bucks. Testors® Precision Gluing Tips
They work great on my 5ml squeeze bottle tips, converts them into a needle tip, and seem to work great filling up the tanks though the hole. I even went so far as to dissect an old 510 carto to use as a case for it. I popped off the atty end and kept the silicone plugs. I figure if I am somewhere and can't rinse out the tip it will keep it from making a mess when I put it up and will also prevent the juice from drying up and clogging it. My plan now with these T tanks is to only take the caps off when I need to clean the tanks. This should keep me from having to replace the caps very often.

This is one of the reasons a long time ago I have been asking if they would change the wick a little bit, give us 3ml tanks, AND MAKE THE TANKS OUT OF STAINLESS STEEL !!!!! No leaks, no funky taste, easily washable, AND THEY WOULD LAST FOREVER !

Stainless steel tanks would be awesome wouldn't they... yeah that would solve some of the problems for sure I would think.

I got my oilers last week. They work great, except the ones I ordered are solid white plastic, so I can really visually see how much is left before a refill of that bottle. They looked clear in the auction, but whatever. Maybe I'll order some another time. These work great for now. I'm back to the Type A LR. I didn't like the taste of Type B. I still use the oilers for Type A. Much less messy.

Well I just got my order in for the tanks with the extra caps. Though I was under the impression I would get 10 caps per tank, you only get one spare cap per tank.... for over two bucks a tank.Though I must say it does not leak. It sucks that when the caps go you have to replace the whole tank.
