Your K-100 or eGo are simply the power supply for whatever topper you might use ,atomizer, catromizer, clearomizer, RTA, RDA, etc...there are loads of different ones to choose. You didn't mention what ones you may have tried on yours.

For a K-100 using a 1.8Ω coil is a good average resistance and should work reasonably well, for both flavor and vapor. Different style toppers attached will perform differently with the same resistance, and everyone seems to have their favorites.

Two simple ways of increasing your vapor output is to use an e-liquid with more VG in it, and when you draw on your rig, take long, slow, gentle puffs.

There are two types of mods: regulated and mechanical.

Regulated mods are expensive, but offer you consistent performance and wattage settings. They also protect you from misuse and shorts.

Mech mods are simply metal tubes with a button. You put any compatible battery inside and get a direct connection of power to your atty. The less charge you have, the less vapour you will get, but they are cheap and if you put good high drain cell inside, you will be able to fire your setup at a very high wattage, a lot above 50 watts. But if you have a crappy battery, it might leak, vent or even explode and kill you.

I have an iclear 30 right now my favorite is my 3.5 ml protank its got better air flow then the iclear but I broke the pyrex dropping it and cant seem to find a replacement tank. Is there an option that performs like a rebuildable dripper with out the rebuilding?
Aerotank Mega or Aspire Nautilus after changing stock BDC coil head to BVC one.

I'm pretty new to vaping.

I started with a simple VV. After some time & some youtube videos I learned there was another side and some real depth to vaping.

So I said screw it and I bought a mechanical mod. I got good batteries, good charger, mod, RDA, wire, pliers, cotton, a voltage multimeter, and some calculators for ohms and coils.

I built a coil, tested it, charged batteries, put some juice in my RDA and

WOMAN ON THE MOON.

Flavor explosion.

My mod made me fall in LOVE with vaping. Vaping is such an experience for me now. Juice in my VV and juice in my mod are like two different tastes. I feel like I've went from a beer drinker to a fine wine connoisseur.

I've always been a tinkerer. My mod lets me tinker with all these different variables related to my vaping experience. I can try different wicks, different GA sizes for coils & wraps (single, double, etc), different mods made from different materials, different RDA/RBA's etc and it just goes deeper and deeper.

So ya thats why mods.

Plus they look gangster.

I got my self a new mod last week. Its a kecig k100+. Everyone makes mods out to be the natural progression after an e-go. My question is why? I have a e-go twist that performs better then my k100+ that's stuck at 3.7 volts and sucks at anything above 1.8 ohms why all the hype am I missing something here?

Normally after an ego people will go for a variable voltage device or a variable voltage or variable wattage device one that does both then some will get in to mechanical mods and some won't. There are a lot of people that never have the need to upgrade beyond a standard ego device.

A 3.7 volt battery charges up to about 4.2 volts +/- 0.05 volts with a good charger, with a mod your voltage is based on the current charge of your battery so to be stuck at 3.7 volts your battery has to have 3.7 volts left. If that makes sense to you?

A mechanical mod doesn't work well with high resistance coils, a mechanical mod works great for many, but is not for everyone. Myself I love mechanical mods and can't go back to regulated devices, it really depends on your style of vaping. Mechanical mods work best for people who rebuild their own coils using rebuildable tanks and drippers. Mechanical mods are more reliable than regulated mods, which is a reason that many people use them, but they do have certain risks with them. If you're just using tanks with prebuilt coils the only issue you'd have to deal with is the batteries and charger that came with your set should be replaced especially the charger. You want a smart charger that will not over charge your batteries.

Mod - More power, more controll, more features, can handle higher variations of coil ohmz depending on the mod.
RDA / RBA - more consistent hits / flavor, higher quality, full control of what you want to do with it aka Kayfun or a RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer)

With anything in life you purchase a higher end product you get more quality more features everything. ie. Honda Civic or BMW M3
