For about a week and a half now my teeth have started hurting a lot when I vape. Now granted my teeth are not in that great of shape due to childhood neglect and stubbornness. To be quite frank about it my mouth looks like a drug addicts mouth. Which I am not. I'm just wondering if there could be an issue with the e juice I'm using and if I should try a different level of nicotine. Any suggestions.

If you were smoking and recently quit it's normal... Smoking does a lot of damage to your teeth that you can't really feel as much while it's happening because tobacco also does things to cover it up. Once you stop those things it does to cover up the damage it's done stop happening but the damage is still there. Try to keep water near, it helps with sensitivity you might feel. And see a dentist if it persists.

There could be an issue with sensitivity to your juices. Nic level, PG, VG, flavoring sensitivities or a combination of the above. You could vape just VG and distilled water for a bit and then add the other ingredients one at a time and see what happens.

OTOH, it could just be that your teeth are getting bad and have decided to let you know about it now. I suggest seeing a dentist and getting an opinion from him/her.

Just a thought: How hard are you sucking on your ecig? Vaping is not like smoking, vapor is created by the eliquid being heated on the hot coil, not by feeding oxygen into the flame as a cigarette. By sucking hard on your ecig, you're causing blood to be drawn out from your gums.

Again, just a thought. Good luck.

Actually, bleeding gums and sensitive teeth are common side effects when one stops smoking. It isn't from vaping, it's from not smoking cigarettes. Cigarette smoke contains vascular constrictors that impedes blood flow, so when it is stopped any pre-exting periodontal disease or other dental problems become apparent quite quickly.

Unfortunately, I have experienced it first hand.

I believe that vaping is extremely drying to the month, which really does a number on teeth and gums. Be sure to drink plenty of water.

Absolutely TRUE !!! I drink about 4 32oz glasses of water a day! It's iced down, so probly not quite 32oz in each, bit definitely a lot !! It helps immensely!

Besides what everyone else said, you have to drink enough water -- a stupid amount of water. Dry mouth promotes bacteria. I'd also try to stay away from sugary vapes, and I've been wondering about PG/VG especially if you aren't drinking enough water and flossing. PG I believe breaks down into a mild acid, and VG into a sugar, both of which if you aren't drinking constantly while vaping could end badly.

I had an impacted tooth the first time I started vaping. I hadn't quit cigarettes yet and was vaping while smoking. I attributed the pain to vaping and felt ok while smoking. I waited to start vaping again until after I had been through 3-4 antibiotic cycles and ultimately had the tooth pulled.

Once the tooth was pulled I tried vaping again and everything was fine. Also, I was using PG juices and now use 100% VG without issue.

I guess the moral of the story is get the tooth pulled now and skip all the antibiotics and the avoiding vaping.

^^^ this is not a crazy thought. I switched to vaping using cigalikes and the amount I had to suck to get decent vapor caused my teeth to ache - it was like sucking on a milkshake all day. I switched to an ego/evod setup and the issue stopped immediately.
