A week or two, i purchased an Ijust 2 mini mod. As soon as i began to use it, the drip tip felt incredibly hot, and after a short while not only the drip tip but the entire device would feel hot. i haven't used it too much but also sometimes the vape itself would feel like its burning my throat. help!
1) See if there is a way to increase your airflow, or the air that comes up/through the coil, more air = more evaporation = cooler vape
2) If like stated above it is ramping out at 60watts, even with super airflow a mod will get hot, the whole assembly. Coil is hot and radiating heat, thermal dynamics of metal heat transfers out to from the hottest point (the coil) through the juice and atomizer attachment is most notable, base of atomizer attachment to top of battery device, down to the base of the mod/device being the coolest.
3) If you are chain chuffing on it 10 to 15 times at a time without giving it a rest for a few moments you are compounding the problem, up your nic level if you can't put it down after 3 to 4 puffs.
I keep at minimum 2 devices on me at all times, one lower watt higher nic (12mg) I can chain vape on if I have to and another sub-ohm tank device (6mg nic) to change up flavor to keep from getting vape tongue when I am out and about. When at home, I have 3 sub-ohm lower nic (1 0mg, 1 3mg, 1 6mg) and several other lower watt high nic devices around the house, start with the 6nic after eating, switch to the lower watt to further balance myself out, then when relaxed back the 3nic device most the evening, and about 90minutes before bed I switch to the 0nic device so I am not jumpy and wired, using the 3nic device maybe once or twice before then. High stress days, and I need to chain vape I am on drippers/sub-ohm tanks with 3nic with several devices I rotate to keep heat down on the devices and give them a good rest, especially devices that have internal LiPo packs. Yes adjusting a device to your needs is ideal, but you also have to think ahead and learn to adjust to your devices' limitations as well to find the optimal balance.
