I understand that half of the equation very well! I was drooling! But if I had a woodvil up for sale I could not ask for that much, knowing what I paid for it.

yeh. i've been known to express little love for flippers

that said, i hope whoever bought that spalted reads my earlier post :)

Because of the labor and quality of work that goes into it and the customer service that backs it up and I hope a little profit too.

I own several of original $10 atties that he turns into RM2 Reomizers and I can do all the work. But for the time required Rob's version is a bargain and that's why I buy from him and use the originals as spare parts.

Here's what he does to the RM2 for example.

center post drilled
Center post insulator upgraded and replaced.
metal disk center post mounts to is notched
ceramic deck is notched
lip around deck is cut down.

wasn't it Alexander Mundy who actually modded a Triangle into an RM2, just to see what all was involved? i remember the conclusion was the RM2 was a steal at the price

So I dont want to make the reo community mad but why are the reomizers so expensive?

I am just a little confused I mean I know how to make a bf dripper and its pretty simple

For example I can buy a igo w for like 9 buck and on the reo site its 40.00?

There is no pun intended against reo mods here I just need some clarification on the issue

Thanks

I wish you hadn't said this as I can't get past it & it's totally OT. But since you did & since I can't handle not asking the question I'm going to ask, What does "no pun intended" mean in the above quoted? I see no place where that phrase applies.

....and to the actual topic of the thread, I'm happy to pay $30 extra for Rob to mod the dripper so it works well on the REO. I don't know anyone who can do this for me & don't have the tools to do it myself so it's worth the price. But I can see someone who does have the tools and ability to modify one themselves thinking this is over priced.

For me and where I come from the phrase "no pun intended" means no harm done that's all

it was a question that had crossed my mind too Val. I could do it myself.. would likely screw up my first attempt, so i'd need 2 attys to start. then I need to modify some stuff to hold bits I want to drill, etc. then I need to take the time to do it all. after I inevitably messed up the first, i'd have to do it all over again on the second.

I reckon with my limited tools and skills, it would probably take me a couple of hours all up (and likely a new drill bit). I know what I earn an hour (I am pretty fortunate there), but parts and time for me to do it c$250.

after that I stopped thinking about it and pressed the add to cart button.

;)

After shipping, insurance and paypal fees, I made exactly $26.27. I don't think that's too greedy.

curse you!!! next time, just PM me :)

and, no, you are far from a flipper. that was a decent price.

now, help me wipe my tears for not checking the classies as often as i used to...

A pun is a play on words.

Example: "He labored so hard he worked his fingers to the bonus". "No pun intended" is something you say when you make a statement that is punny (pun intended in this case).

Some more examples gathered from that infinite store of knowledge...the Internet:

Let’s talk about rights and lefts. You’re right, so I left.

Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

When a clock is hungry it goes back four seconds.

A boiled egg every morning is hard to beat.

Two fish are in a tank. One says to the other, “Err...so how do you drive this thing?”

I went to buy some camouflage trousers yesterday but couldn't find any.

I've been to the dentist many times so I know the drill.

Being struck by lightning is a shocking experience!

Without geometry, life is pointless.

A chicken crossing the road is truly poultry in motion.

The roundest knight at King Arthur’s table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from far too much pi.

I went to a seafood disco last week....and pulled a mussel.

She had a photographic memory but never developed it.

Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was brilliant!

Just in case there was some confusion. :)

Anybody got any others? I love word play.

Haha! I was actually expecting an automated PM from you as soon as I finished posting it.

Thank you, if I'm a flipper, I'm not very good at it.

Don't worry about it valooper, you had question on your mind and asked it, no harm done. And if it makes you feel any better I've been wondering why woodvils go for so much in the classies. My jaw drops at some of the prices.

But that's the beauty of something that looks so good and works so well - they retain their value to a very high degree. Certain "thing"y's I see posted in the classifieds - not so much...
