Why are the chargers so short?

Why are the ego chargers no more than a few inches long? Is there a company that sells longer chargers? I want to charge mine in the wall, but i dont have any outlets tall enough to reach my desk. Also, would plugging it into a wall and letting it dangle cause problems? The chargers also arent long enough to reach my floor

so which connection are you looking for (ends)

dangle is never a good way to go

if the one you want is micro USB, a cell phone charger usually works

just match up the output numbers to what your charging...

I just use the usb ports on my lap top. A surge protector or a cheap house hold extension cord will work too.

Good question. When I got my starter kit at the B&M, my first question was "do you got a longer one of these I can buy?" They didn't; for now it sits on top of my computer when charging off the USB port, or on the floor when charging off the wall. USB extension cables are cheap, though, I might have to pick myself up one of those some time...

I didn't even think of the USB extension cables, I'll go and pick one up on my day off. I love the forums haha.

I have two USB chargers. The cord length on one is so short my only option less some sort of extension cord is to plug it into a USB port on my laptop and have the whole setup on the table. The cord is short enough that I can't even place the charger on top after closing the lid. It's to short to lay on the bottom too, if I was to carry my laptop somewhere else. The cord length of my other charger is 6 or 7 inches. I have an AC/USB converter to plug that one into, but it's still to short to reach the floor. That's where the red rubber band comes into the picture..

Thank goodness for long charger cables and pony tail tie-wraps to loose to use anymore for their intended purpose, and 900mAh eGo batts for their intended use..
