I identify these sounds with a healthy, fresh cartomizer.

I'm always curious about things I'm interested in, and I like to learn as much as I can about them.

Fresh cartos snap, crackle, and pop (;-)) with each battery press. What is making this sound, and why?

I like it!

Also, can someone link me to an image of a disemboweled carto? I want to see what they look like inside.

One more question: What metal are those coils made of?

If you do a Google Image search for "cartomizer cutaway" a few images and diagrams will come up with what you are looking for. Some of the images of burnt coils and polyfill make you realize why once a carto gets the burnt taste, why they taste so bad and must be disgarded; they are really nasty looking.

Sometimes I want to stand on a pedestal and scream to everyone, "CLEAROMIZERS SUUUUUUUCK!" and then give my reasons why. But I'll stay mum.

It seems, for noobs (I use that term in respect, for I myself was once noob, and I'm thankful for everyone who helped educate me), clearos work.

For a while.

I wanted to point out how many threads in the Clearomizer subforum is full of "my clearo stopped working", "my clearo leaks," "anyone having T3 problems?" Kanger this, Kanger that.

I was so ready to give up on vaping. And then my b&m store explained carto tanks to me.

Vaping HEAVEN since then.

I hear ya Rocketpunk. OTOH, people have trouble with carto tanks too. For me, I've found there is no such thing in vaping as 'plug & play'. I've had issues with my eGo-C, carto tanks, Stardusts, T2 and VN which I was able to work through and now use them all happily. For me, they alll have their place in my vape kit. Maybe one day someone will invent the ultimate juice delivery device that just works with no caveats. That will be a great day for vapers!
