I agree with the battery issue. Before you do anything else you need a set of new batteries that you will only use together and charge together. Your device might not function properly.

As for the coils, once you burn the coil you cannot really revive it. A burned wick will always taste burnt. You have to try a new one.

Looks like you already got great advice from the previous members. I'd follow those instructions on priming and such. Good luck!

Again, 70PG / 30VG would be considered thin juice, adding 10 drops of distilled water made it even thinner causing the leaking & flooding (gurgling, bubbling, boiling sound & juice in mouth)
Most folks use high VG juices in subohm tanks 60%vg or more.

It is always best to start off a new head at a lower power & work your way up to prevent scorching/burning the wicking material and allow it to 'break in'.

The tank you're using is more for direct lung hits/inhales, trying to mouth to lung inhale can cause problems.
Do you have the airflow closed off / reduced or is it near wide open?
Make sure the o rings / seals in place & un damaged, the head should be tight into the base, the base, tank & top should be snug enough to prevent leaks between the pieces, not crank it down tight.

To clear the flood - drain tank, remove head from base, blow the excess juice out of the head, dry airflow chamber, center tube/chimney/air tube & drip tip. Install head fill tank.
You can also try turning it upside down where the liquid level is below the wicking holes and pulse the fire button a few times to burn off excess juice.

The batteries you use are the most important piece/part of your set up, I do not know of any 3200mah batteries that have a sufficient 'amp rate' to properly and safely power your device.
If the chip isn't receiving the amps it requires it can not function correctly, it wouldn't be able to supply the power consistently or accurately.

The 5800mah should not be used at all for any vaping purpose.

Not trying to be rude or sound unhelpful but,
There really isn't much more anyone can help you with using the wrong unsafe batteries, liquids that are too thin for the heads you're using & unknown nic level.
High nic juice + subohm = harsh hits, some may describe it as peppery burnt taste.

First & foremost you need the correct batteries for safe & consistent operation.

okay i will stop operating it until i get the batteries, but do you think my mod and/or tank is somehow damaged from using those batteries? i have fired it about 40 times now using the bad batteries and the highest wattage i tried was 55 watts.

and please tell me what should i do with the the coils until i get the batteries? should i clean them up and dry out the cotton?

does a burnt wick mean a burnt coil? but i did prime the quad coils it worked fine for a while then after i changed the juice i got burnt hits ...

Everyone here is really looking for your safety as a best interest. Please do not use those batteries - don't just say you wont. Simply DON'T.
Folks on ECF have varied ranges of experience, but when people say,"stop those batteries are dangerous or wrong." It is the wisest thing to do, period.

In terms of juices and tanks. I find that high PG juices in Sub Ohm tanks (in my experience) tend to leak more and splash into my mouth more.
I've never tested the thickness of their premade coils, but my experience suggests to me they allow thicker juices to pass, which means thinner juices could potentially run through the cotton and leak.

I usually use higher PG juices with a thicker cotton wick and higher VG juices with a nice and fluffy fanned out cotton wick.

In terms of bad flavor, burnt cotton has to be replaced. It's done once that happens. I have found another taste though that is nearly equally disgusting. Machine oil in the darned premade coil heads. First time I encountered that I knew it wasn't burnt by the flavor, but it stopped me in my tracks. Took the head out and thoroughly washed it re primed it and it was as good as it gets again!

Back to safety! Vaping is a great hobby or a great alternative, but if you disregard safety you will eventually have consequences you will not wish to live with.

i bought a brand new xcube 2 160W mod with the tfv4 tank(full kit)...i have used 2 different batteries on it ( not quality ones) one of them is a 18650 3.7 5800 mAh and the other was a 18650 4.2V 3200 mAh...i fixed the tank on the mod and filled it up with juice waited about 15 minutes for the juice to wet the cotton, since then i only got burnt hits it also smells bad and i have taken about 20 puffs till now at not more than 30W....why do i get burned hits? how can i fix this? where did i go wrong? do you think i have burned out the coil with the bad batteries i have? should i try the quadruple coil? should i change the juice?

Sounds to me either

A. You did not saturate the wick. In advance

B. There is too much cotton in the coil to wick properly.

C. You are chain vaping and the wicking cannot keep up.

the tfv4 tank already has the wick installed from the factory...but what do you exactly mean by "putting" half a mil on the coils?

Means he put 10-15 drops of juice on the cotton to make sure the wicking is completely saturated before filling the tank or pressing the Fire button

I already posted that im not going to use the mod until i get better batteries...i really appreciate everyone's concern and replies...but i dont know what to do with the coils until my batteries arrive the cotton is all brown because of the juice, should i clean the coil and cotton?

A. i wasted about 50% of my juice saturating the wick.

B.well the cotton was already there in the coils when i unboxed the tank soo i dont think so.

C.my problem is that i get burnt taste even tho i primed the coils as its suppose to be primed it only worked once for about 2-3 puffs.

take a pic of your batteries.....you mod should be fine......im pretty sure the burnt hits is bc of the water you added to the juice
i used a pair of red ultrafire 6800mah 4.2V....i also tried a pair of ART 5800mah 3.7v, low discharge rate is written on both batteries...the cotton doesnt look like its burnt but its hard to tell, do you think my coils and/or cotton is burnt now because of the water i added?

Danner. Just because the wicks and coils are pre made does NOT mean they were wicked correctly.

Some of the worst wicks I ever saw was for the Kanger Subtank series.

The cotton was so tight in the coil thsy they could hardly wick at all, and if you did any chsib vaping at all you would get a dry hit and the OCC head was ruined. That is why I started rebuilding the OCC heads just so I could get some consistency of my vape.

You're right...I'm a complete beginner I'm sorry i dont know much about vaping i have absolutely no experience in using mods/tanks/coils so this is all new to me I'm just trying to figure out what to do now. :/

Mod is probably fine but you are using batteries that may melt down/explode if you keep suing them and that would ruin your mod and your day.
Any suitable battery for a mod will have a maximum of 3000 mah and should be good for a continuous discharge rating (CDR) of at least 20 amps.
The higher the mah rating the lower the output current.

Danner it takes time to get this stuff down.

When I started I used the Evod starter kit with silica wicks and 50/50 ejuice.

It was on but nothing earth shattering. I began having problems with PG so I got higher VG juices,

Then I got the Subtank mini because it held more juice, then I saturated the wick and I actually had the full flavor of my juice.
About a week later I used another OCC head and it burned because too much cotton. The next one burned eveb though I juicef the wick. Out of the 7 coils three of them were bad. I watched Rip Trippers vid of rebuilding the OCC heads and I started rebuilding and finally got consistency then I got an RDA and the flavor took another jump.

Then the Goblin Mini came into my life and the world if RTAs opened up. The Goblin had better flavor than many RDAs and the convenience of a tank.

Now I rock three RTAs GMini, Kayfun Nano, and most recently the Billow V2 Nano.
