maybe your cottons are too tight, or wattage too high. what builds are you running? or maybe u are not getting it wet enough ;)
lol @ wet enough, i had the same issues , but i am done using the top tanks, they are just useless too time taking to wick n if u get it wrong taking out the juice , spills, too much headache, reverse tanks is a way to go for me !!

Im using an ipv mini 2 with subox mini tank. Vaping at 18-20 watts on a 0.6ohm coil.

When i check, its only burnt on one side of the wick. Any tips on wicking?

That happens to me too. One side gets more "burnt" than the other. The other side is still clean.
But it only bothers me to look at it. Flavour and performance is still the same.
I only discover when I clean it and because the look bothers me I re-wick. Then it happens again... And again.

I reckon the problem isn't the wicking but the coil. While it seems to glow evenly when dry firing, I reckon it's a combination of a sweet juice that caramelises easily and a marginally uneven distribution of heat.

When I changed the coil it's all fine again.

What's prompting you to change your coils anyway? Are you getting dry hits or a faint burnt flavour?

Not preaching but temperature control is a good alternative. It has been a long time since I have had a burnt hit. Enjoy!

Well i wish getting a new mod was easy. With all the restrictions, the "damage" could be a fifty to a hundred times the cost of a new mod. Not really willing to take the risk now. The point of vaping for me is to kick the analog habit and save more cash for my future.

Where do you live? The Wismec RX200 is around $40. While I'm not seeing success with stainless wire, they run TC fine with Ni200 (nickel). I also have ordered an Eleaf Pico which is around $25. And continue to use a couple (older) Vapor Flask clones with good success.

It took me a month or so before I realized that vaping was so much better than smoking -- in every way -- that I no longer cared/wanted to smoke. Good luck on your journey.
