why do I keep melting my Poldiac springs?

Hey folks,
I just got a Poldiac from MMvapors and I keep melting my bottom cap spring. The button is not getting stuck, but they still melt? Any suggestions?

What are you using on it? Hard-shorts will cause the spring to collapse/melt.

What ohms do you have it wrapped at?

2.0 ohms. Is there a recommended ohms rate? Limit or max?

2 ohms should run just fine. The only thing I can think of is that there is a short somewhere that's causing the coil to collapse.

That's bad to know. I was willing to buy a Poldiac, but usually wrap coils around 0.8 - 1.0 Ohm on my gennies, so I guess the Poldiac isn't for me, then...
Oh well, the Nemesis silver contacts are hitting those hard, though.
