I almost bought a Provari....
Why I didn't... was because of pronunciation.
Its pronounced :pro Vairy..as in vairiable. Vari as in fairy . Very Nasal sounding...
I would have bought one if it was pronounced : PROVARI ! (with an Italian accent)as In Volari!

You should learn some Norwegian. Where A is not eyh and I is not aye ;)

I, personally, used to roll-my-own cigarettes. I spent about 60-80 cents on a pack of cigarettes (20 cigarettes) maybe more depending on the size of the bag of tobacco and the type of tubes/filters. vaping is not cheaper for me, even making my own liquid, it ends up being a bit more money in the end than smoking cigarettes. I do this for the health aspect of it. Even though pipe tobacco isn't treated the same way as store bought cigarette tobacco (there isn't AS MANY chemicals used to treat it and the process isn't as long - thus it isn't exposed to as much negative things as the store bought cigarettes are during manufacturing) and is a little bit of a 'healthier' and cheaper alternate to store bought ciggs....they still had a ton of negative health side effects.

My journey to vaping simply is for a healthier lifestyle, and I succeeded in achieving that. I learned very quickly (and to be frank...i'm still learning) that cheaper isn't the best bet. I am on a fairly tight budget, but I have learned that you might as well skip purchasing cheap stuff for a week if that means you save money in the end when you buy the good stuff. Sometimes, there just is no way to get around it and you have to buy the cheap stuff to get you by, but when you get the chance...BUY THE REAL DEAL! Cheap stuff breaks/falls apart or doesn't preform up to par compared to the good stuff. Sometimes this isn't true, but very rarely.

I guess I just get irritated that by default, owning a Provari makes me a snob.

I don't think that anyone thinks that you are. However, some people that own them can be at times.

To me it doesn't matter if you have a Provari, a Vamo, SVD, or some monstrosity that plugs into a 220v wall plug. It is just a power source. Any device that puts out the desired wattage in a consistent and reliable manner is not going to be any better or worse than another device capable of producing the same wattage. I really don't see how using the same topper with the same juice on a Provari can be much if any different than on an SVD (or even a Spinner/Twist) at the same voltage settings.

The "junk" only comes into play when the "in a consistent and reliable manner" part is violated. Obviously if the device is prone to breaking, dying, or just not working properly then it is going to be inferior to a device that works properly. That said I find it hard to justify $200 for a battery holder when I got an equally reliable iTaste SVD for $40. Even if it does break after a year or two, I can buy 4 more of them before I hit the price of what I would have spent on the first Provari. Meanwhile I have invested the money I saved by not buying the Provari and I have already made the money back that I spent on the first SVD anyway...making it effectively free.

In my mind it is not the power source that makes a great vape, it is all in the topper. How fast and reliably the wick can deliver the right amount of juice to the coil and how fast and reliably the coil can convert that liquid to vapor is where the real magic is. A great, well tuned topper on an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner is going to beat a crappy topper that leaks or under wicks (dry burns) on a Provari any day.

My advice: If you have a budget and need to buy a kit, pick the best topper you can get first, then spend the rest of your budget on the power source. You will be much happier this way.

There is a tendency to portray a Provari as the only sensible thing a thinking person would ever consider buying... indeed. When truth is more likely that it's the first thing in the vaping world that really worked well for them.

If it was up to me, we'd all be vaping mesh wicked gennies on mechanicals :D

Why spend 200 on a provari when you can spend 400 on a dna30 device? Lol. People buy what they want to buy.

I'm saving up for a Provari Maxi with Sapphire Zencoat. It's 3 foot long with a special base attachment proprietary to my Dyson Cyclone...that sucker will zap and vaporize dust bunnies under the sofa in a nanosecond and also provide a consistent and lovely vape with your favorite e juice for hours and hours after the housework is done.

this is my most used atomizer. beats absolutely everything else i have, kayfuns, carto tanks, genesis atomizers, other rda's. you know why?

1- it does not need a screwdriver to setup.
2- has holes to trap the wire ( i don't see why ppl still make RDAs without similar posts )
3- wire holes are close to the bottom making the shortest coil possible + the coil is always close to the juice hence no dry hits ever.
4- has a concave bottom causing the juice to gather at one point
5- small chambered, lots and lots of flavor and TH
6- 3.95$ free shipping
