Why do people wait until they have 5ml of liquid or 2 cartos and then contact me and somehow it is suddenly my problem?

That's one reason I weaned my friends off of depending on me to fix their computers free. It was usually when they were in panic mode and it wasn't convenient for me to dash over there. I mean, come on, deal with things being changed up looking on Yahoo mail. I have kept one extra Gotomypc account just for "fixing" friends' computers. I think I have weaned them enough I can drop it.

Good luck, Feisty Alice

I find the same people that wait till vaping supplies are low have that tendency in all aspects of their lives. Whether it is the money thing or bad judgement in determining when things will run out. Even stepping in to help by giving them what they need and enough to get by for awhile does not stop it from happening again. The whole concept of taking time and figuring out how much you have and how long it will last is lacking.

I lack in understanding how they even get by living like that!

Nerak, I too, felt like that until the course of my life changed. I saw cars with a headlight out and thought... SURELY they can afford a headlight, SURELY they can afford to get a muffler, SURELY they can afford to wear nicer shoes. Then I was reduced to living on $700 a month. Lots of things changed then. Not trying to beat up on anyone, but see how far that goes and imagine how your life would be affected.

Now I think SURELY I have something left to sell to pay the electric bill, water service, phone, insurance, internet(losing soon). I'm not saying all these people are that stressed, probably just not putting their priorities in the right order, but maybe, just maybe, life handed them a pile of crap.

This was posted by Krash, a very active member here with problems of his own, but a hero to me and many others of the MOVsquad.

" I donate juice and hardware like cartos and monthly needed items to vapers having a hard time. It is much easier to go down to the corner store and buy a pack of smokes. Getting stuff we need monthly to keep vaping is not so easy.

I am trying to keep people vaping. I have 4 regular vapers now that I send stuff to every month for various reasons. The rest are just too help get someone to their next check. It usually gets paid back when they are flush again.

I will also trade juices, send samples to new vapers to help them find a vendor they like. Basically I do a little of everything to help our community

I take on new people as I find them."

You are totally right going with that concept. I have been there before also. Didn't mean to come off as uncaring. Money and the need at hand do not always match up.

The ones I am talking about get some money and spend it on something not needed just a "want", or a " I deserve something for me". A week later they realize they do not have money for things they really need.

I have and will continue to help those people with real needs as I can. It really sucks when life hands you a pile of crap!!!

I had a change a few months ago when I had to move. It really made me cut back on spending just so I could pay my bills. I can make it, but I do have to "think" and plan lots more than before.

I wasn't trying to 'out' Krash or sensationalize his efforts and neither was he. His post was a response to a question in another thread and I copied without permission, but thought it befitting the tone of this thread. I applaud any efforts to help a fellow human in need. And yes, I've seen that and worse with people and drugs and don't in any way support that venue because I was raised in it, hence, I don't drink. Well, I DO(full disclosure) make muscadine wine that is given out to friends. . .

Merry Christmas,
Stephen

My peeve with some vaping friends is the lack of motivation to learn anything about it. I'll pop up with a new mod and get greeted with "Oh, I'm going to get one of those." Well one, you're not going to get one of those because they are all gone(VV Woodville, go to the forum and read ) and two, I'm not helping you get set up on a big battery mod until you put in some reading time and understand what battery safety is and how to properly handle them(go to the forum and read).Seriously, these folks would be at Radio Shack buying batteries for their mods because it's cheaper. I wean down to 0mg juice and get told "Oh, I'm going to start weaning down too." Why are you going to wean down your nic when you're still smoking also? GO TO THE FORUM AND READ!!!
Head against a brick wall here. Over and over and over.
