Why do you/I/we spend so much on vape gear?

I don't have to justify anything. lol I have back-ups. And back-ups for my back-ups. Tinkering is good, it keeps me out of trouble. Plus, I want to be VERY sure I never, ever have an excuse to smoke by running out of anything.

Congrats on hanging in there. :)

This, word for word, is my perspective as well. I've jumped off the wagon before due to a lack of backups, good juice, and good hardware. Never again. I think I "overcorrected" a little this time but no matter, I'm enjoying it far more than the first time around. It's more of a hobby and less of a crutch, to me at least.

Well for me what I spend on it is about becoming as independent with my vaping as I can. I got into rebuildables for that reason and stocked up on wicking materials and kanthal. I started making my own juices too for the same reason and stocked up on flavor concentrates, nicotine, PG and VG. I drop in at the local vape stores now and then, mostly for social reasons, I really don't need anything they sell there, but there are people who know their stuff working in them and I love talking to them.

Most of what they sell are EGO rigs, clearos, and regulated mods, which I've no use for, but a couple of them have SS mesh. Sometimes I'll trade vape gear with the guys who work there, but mostly it's about a social life revolving around vaping. There are vape gatherings all around the state, but not here in Naples for some reason.

I started out 5 weeks ago with an ego-c mega twist compact kit from totally wicked. Since then I have acquired another kit (that was free from a friend), liquid, an evod and just today received an ismoka bcc mega. I don't think that's too bad for 5 weeks. Saturday I was having issues with my ego-c atomizers and it was either I got something else that worked better or gave in and smoked, which I DON'T want to do. So I went to our first vape shop's grand opening and left with an evod. Man I had no idea what I was missing! The vapor production is just amazing. Now I've got this 3.5ml bcc mega and 2 1000mah batteries so I am good for the whole day off one tank and one battery. It becomes a lifestyle and a hobby. Just like I enjoy getting new things for my bigger toy (my Jeep). I enjoy vaping and being healthier! When I first started I didn't understand how/why people get so into it, well now I do. I find myself on this forum lately more than jeep forums or the gun forums I belong to. It's fun and there's sooo many flavors and different products to buy! I just need to watch my spending because I am unemployed at the moment due to health issues.
