 Bad times but that still made me laugh
To be honest I didn't know cats had a 3rd eyelid till last night.
A proper name does exist but we all know I'm just looking at google, he knows everything.
I think nictitating membrane is the word you are looking for.

I had a dog that had that done so her cornea could heal. She looked really creepy with the red eye for a while, plus she got to wear the cone of shame while we waited for everything to heal up.

Google tells me your correct.
Your avi suggests that you know these things already.

Yep. She has the CoS as well. She can't leave the house for a while. The drugs and cone and all that.

Then there's painkillers to give her tomorrow and back next week to have the stitches removed...

I feel bad that she doesn't understand that we are doing this for her own good. She don't seem impressed though.
I'm getting a purr every now and then so I think all will end well :thumb:

New thread... "Most Expensive Cat"

Too right man. Just this outing alone has cost north of £450.

I remember the good old days when that would have been nearly $900!

I think we're looking at $451 now

She is very lucky that she only needs the cone for a week. My dog wore it for at least a month, maybe longer. It was a while ago.

When my cats have had to wear the lampshade, it helped if I let them have a few minutes without the cone after they ate. It seemed pretty important to them to be able to wash their faces and whiskers after eating. It gave me time to wash some of the stink off the cone, and they were more tolerant of the darn thing when I put it back on.

Sorry to hijack your thread guys but I thought this might be the place to get an answer. I am after some custom or just very nice drip tips and leather sleeves for my gear. Can you suggest websites or contacts? It would be much appreciated.

I got a couple nice drip tips from here. I live in the UK so shipping wasn't too bad for me. Sorry

Thank you so much for the link! Shipping is not a problem. I have some friends from the UK visit me in June!

Was this the place that we spoke about cats?
My pretty cat to be specific.

She's just come back from the vets after having her 3rd eyelid sewn closed.
She had an ulcer on her eyeball and she's had to have a tooth removed as well!!!

These are grim times...

Aww. I hope she's OK.

I took in a stray and the litter of kittens she had in my front yard a few years ago. One of the kittens got very sick and treating her eventually involved an oxygen tent and a blood transfusion... wound up being more than 1000 USD by the time it was over. I still have her, 8 or so years later, so I suppose amortized over that time it wasn't that expensive. At least that's what I tell myself ;).

I bought a GGTS fully decked out back in the day with all the modifications to allow it to use any battery configuration (about $220). I also bought the atty that was designed to go with it (called the AFSv2 for about $120). Hated it with a passion and it cost me $340+ (I recall nearly $400 because I bought all the accessories for it). Im currently using a $220 SX Mini G class which I havent made up my mind on whether I like. Well, to be fair, the vape is great, its getting the vape to be great that has been a PITA (the ui is awful, Yihi still has yet to deliver on its promises for this device).

Thanks.
That's a nice story, I hope mine gets through this fine. We're back to the vet to have the stitches removed tomorrow and then drops for the ulcer start.
I can't start a new cat thread because we have to keep things vaguely vape related, so I'll post the update here :thumb:
