I'm still new but I can't post in the new user forums any more. I just recently got my KGO system and I am very happy with it, but the homemade juice that I purchased to get me going until my own DIY setup gets here in a couple days is stinking up my house something fierce. The tobacco juice I got I can barely even vape because it hits so hard I cough like I am a first time smoker. I am getting some serious ..... from the old lady who wants me to vape outside (but I refuse and go back to my man cave). Everything I read before I got into vaping suggested that there was no odor but my man cave reeks like I've been smoking some funky cigars in here. It smells like butterscotch's garbage. Sup'it'dat? Bad juice? By the way I'm not letting any vapor escape until it has been inhaled. I'm not one of those cigar puffer type vapors who's got to puff it up and get it going. This smell is AFTER I vape (inhale) it.

It's 60/40 pg/vg 24mg. I'm using a KGO with either a standard resistance SLB XL Carto, or the Boge LR 2.0ohm carto. I keep my cartos wet constantly dripping in them every hour. The cartos are brand new. All the juices I have are from the same provider (who I am not going to call out until I do a review on them, that is, after I get some more experience). The seller told me I should steep them because they are fresh but I don't have time to do that. I am sure I will have plenty left over when I get my DIY kit and I can always go back later and try again but this is ridiculous.

On the positive side I completely quit smoking the moment I got my KGO, so it must be working.:vapor:

I believe PVs were often marketed to be without smell or low smell. Not true at all, and with your KGO and an LR carto, you are generating a lot of vapor. All that flavoring has to go somewhere. My office often smells like a coffee bar, since I vape a lot of coffee flavors. Commercial juices can be as much as 30% flavoring, so its a lot of odor, depending on the flavoring, and tobacco flavors can be quite strong, for sure. Vaping can indeed smell strong. The good news is that smell will probably dissipate after a couple days of no vaping, but its not likely you would want to do that.

While I am at work, in order to not have someone ask me if I am baking cookies, I vape unflavored juice. I actually like it. Has just a hint of nicotine taste, which is surprisingly satisfying. You might consider this for inside vaping. You also might consider other flavors that are not so penetrating, or make your own juices with less flavoring. I use maximum 10% flavoring in my DIYs, often 2-5%.

But to clear the air, so to speak, vaping can and often does smell.
