I've tried searching but its a pain via phone. I have 1.25 ohm dual coils and a kgo kit....When I vape on them I get a lot of popping, like drops of juice shooting up. Also the vapor production is not what I've seen on youtube. I figure its juice in the airtube, but I've blown and blown from the battery end and nothings coming out. Any ideas on what may be going on? this is my first time with cartos.

They do tend to pop from the heat I would guess. I use drip tips with mine and I use the 1.5s. My only suggestion would be to get a drip tip and maybe try the 2.0 ohm available at Avid Vaper. Good luck.

Are you uisng the mega? That hold a little more than 2mls? Or the shorter that hold about 25 drops? I use the megas and really love them.

My goodness! You've been vaping for 2½ years and this is your first time with cartos?! [It only took me 2 years.;-)]

In my experience, the higher the power, the greater the Rice Krispies effect (snap, crackle, pop). 1.25Ω on 3.7V = 11 watts of power (very high). [NOTE: This assumes that two 2.5Ω coils really do have a net resistance of 1.25Ω. I'm not convinced of that. The two 3.2Ω coils in the "1.6Ω" dual coils do not hit as hard as the 1.7Ω single coil.]

Vapor generation depends not only on the power of the hardware, but also on the e-liquid (e.g., proportion of VG) and the vaping style of the user (e.g., duration and force of the draw).

In this video, pbusardo demonstrates how to fill a cartomizer using the condom method. [He uses the smaller capacity Boge carto, but – as he notes in the caption at the 42 second mark – this is equally effective with the dual coils. It just takes more juice.]

FYI: The topping off that he demonstrates at the 7 minute mark can be used to fill the carto from scratch. I do it more quickly than he, dripping and turning simultaneously. Doesn't take me long at all – even with the 40+ drops needed to file the larger capacity mega dual coils.

After the initial fill, when the vapor and/or flavor start to fade, I top off with about 10 drops right into the drip tip. Yeah, some juice gets into the center hole. Gurgle, shmurgle! It passes.

Often what you see on Youtube is not like in real life. Vapor tends to look more dense on youtube, depending on the camera used. Could be your juice is too thin to make good vapor. Sounds like they are working ok. I find with mine when they are completely full I need to vape for a bit to get rid of the little bit of excess that is keeping good vapor from forming. After several hits the vapor starts getting more and more.

Also, make sure you are using at least a fat batt with these cartos. They draw so much that they can damage a regular or mega batt (180 and 280 mAh, respectively).

I agree with salengold: I also recommend getting some Boge LR cartos. I have 1.6 ohm DCs, and while they are very good, I gravitate to the 2.0 ohm single coils more. I have found the air flow in the smokteks can be somewhat sluggish.
