Why don't I like my mod? Any former Triton users that can help provide perspective?

Actually the Triton is a Kanger T2. (not T3). Any T2 will fit on a Triton battery and the replacement coils are also the same. While the Kanger T2 will fit and work on a Triton battery (with a very slight gap), the Triton tank from Halo is meant for 808/ego threading and will not work on a 510/ego device.

My wife has been using the Kanger T2 (not the Halo) for 3 years. However, she uses that tank on a variety of mods...isticks, Evic, etc...with a 510 to ego adapter. Of course she has it set at about 7.5 watts.
That is great to know, next time I go into the vape shop I am going to see if they have any of these :)

Yes... T2 was the Kanger. I used T2s with my eVic mod... isn't that a coincidence @Grimwald

Last time I saw spare coils, they were close to free (very cheap indeed).

I also used the T3 and then the T3S. The T3 was too leaky. The MT3 should be avoided like the plague... so many vendors are still selling these... urgh... sigh....

The T3S with the TOCC replacement coils are quite good. You can get them into double-figure watts (10 or 11 watts) without the fear of dry hits.

Kanger T2 clearos and heads are also available here -

Clear T2's are here - Kanger T2 Clearomizer Tank
T2 Heads also - Kanger T2 Replacement Coils 5 Pack

I haven't used the above vendor, but all the ones Grimwald listed have been reliable suppliers for me. Hunting for a couple clearances may stock you up cheaply for now.

Although the T2 may not be as readily available, it performs well as a simple lightweight high capacity clearo. The 2.2 ohm version is still in the rotation here.

Good luck in finding what fits your style!

A +1 for the nautilus, i got a couple of isticks and a subtank mini and atlantis before i found ecf. Then on here i came across the nautilus and got it for my wife originally. After a couple of months with the subtank, i was using the katpyfunat home, much less airy, 1.5 to 2ohm coils and i preferred it so much more!

So now when i am going out i will use my kabukis (really nice made in us tank that still uses the nautilus coils but looks better, has improved flavour over the original and some other nice improvements) or nautiluses. And at home its dripper or kayfun.

Anyways, all the best :) just thought i would chime in. Also, as others have said it will get cheaper once you know what you like and from what it sounds like you are off to a more focused start than i had!

Well, THIS is interesting! Something I didn't know before purchasing Triton was that the batteries were proprietary to their tanks. They're pretty cheap, but I still wish I had known.

Well, other tanks fit, they just have to be for kr808d threads. Granted that's not a large choice. SmokelessImage uses the same threading and have some different tanks. Kanger T4 (also Halo g6 tank I think) can be bought for 808 threads, eSmart tanks work, and there are a few others for kr808d threads.

I believe Halo sells an adapter for 510 devices. If not you need a 808 to 510 or 808 to 510/ego adapter. Not a glamorous solution, but works.

Good to know! Thank you for this. :)

Moving up from your Halo Triton, the Aspire Nautilus would probably make you the most happy.

It's not as airy as the Herakles, has great flavor, and produces a good amount of vapor for what it is. It's a great mouth to lung tank and with a minor modification (remove the airflow control ring) it's possible to do direct lung hits with it if you want.

Also, few people know about them but you can get Temperature Control coils for the Nautilus. I use them in mine all of the time. I run the temp at 460F and 17-21 watts and it works great. Really good flavor and good vapor production.

congrats on your excellent choice. Good to hear that you found something that suits you. That little tank will make you happy plenty. I started vaping a year ago and am still using them (although slowly phasing them out in favor of the Kabuki, which uses the same coils). Vape long and prosper!

I got a Nautilus Mini and I love it! It makes all the difference. I am learning so much from everyone here, I would not have been able to figure this out on my own... Thank you. Now to play around with flavors!

I'm so glad that it's working for ya, Angel! The standard Nautilus is exactly the same but has a larger juice capacity (perfect for road trips!).
As for juices, check out Giant Vapes. They have a TON of juice brands, so you can place one order and get a wide selection of things to try. My personal favorite pre-made juice is Teleos' Alpha. It's like a strawberry cotton candy!

I might get the big Nautilus too, what the hell right?
I was thinking about buying from giant vapes actually... I have some suicide bunny in 12mg and would like to add 0mg of the same flavor in order to drop it down to 6mg. If I am happy with 12mg on my Halo Triton, is 6mg ok for my mod or should I go lower?

I'd stick with 12 in the nauti. If it's too much then move to 6. You don't have as much airflow in the nautilus.
interesting. i will try that. what are the common side effects of too much nicotine? I dropped from 18 down to 12 because after a few months on 18, I was noticing the "peppery" of the nicotine. I am an all day vape and have noticed no side effects from too much nicotine, such as headaches or nausea. Is there anything else I should be careful about?

I'm using the Halo Triton as well, I like it a lot.
it's small and convenient to just throw it into your pocket and you're good to go.
I'm in the market for a box mod now because of longer battery life and more power.
incidentally, Halo e-juice is great (Kringles curse, Voodoo and Tribeca)
good luck to you!
