I've been on the vape and this forum since mid September and constantly read about Bobas Bounty, Bobas Bounty, Bobas Bounty and how much everyone loves it, and how much I want some, there's just no other liquid that gets as much attention as this one does and I want some...and did I mention, I WANT SOME.

Problem is...alien Visions just doesn't make nearly enough to meet the demand and I don't get why, couldn't they just double or triple the ingredients used to make it and thereby doubling or tripling output, seems pretty simple...what they do make sells out in a matter of minutes and the hourly visit to their site begins again hoping you get lucky.

I know their a mom & pop shop and have limitations and I'm not trying to tell them how to run their business or be a s%$thead, just doesn't make sense why they wouldn't make larger quantities...just my 2 cents, maybe more 3 cents.

I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation why this is...just frustrated, AND I WANT SOME.

That's why I started to DIY. I just became fed up with waiting to order some of the good juices. I don't understand it either. To be occasionally out of stock is one thing, to be out of stock day after day and week after week is ridiculous. They shouldn't have a quota. Their customers should come first. They are leaving money on the table and telling their customers to spend it elsewhere.

unfortunately i totally agree, i run a business with my father and if we were outta stock as often as some of these juice suppliers, we wouldn't have a business... it would seem to me that the companies that provide the popular juice are profiting from the sales of that juice and should be able to afford the ability to maintain a steady flow of said juices. I'm not sure about others, but with my business being outta stock means im losing money. I know what juices I know what juices I like and I know what juices I prefer, But when I need juice, I need juice! So, if the juice I want is outta stock Im forced to purchase juice elsewhere...... and unfortunately I feel like that happens a bit too often!!!

Most family businesses would have to move into a brick and mortar building to expand. Many of these companies employ 10, 20, 30 people or more and eventually have to do just that. With the FDA threatening control, inspection, and serious regulation, I would guess that some have decided to stay small in case the oversight becomes too great for a Mom and Pop to bear..

truman,

I sympathize with your frustration. I've been looking to add to my small stash of Boba's and Raf-a-licious, and I can't tell you how many times I've checked the AVE site only to come away empty-handed.

Yes, I'm sure that sometimes juice vendors are inadvertently overwhelmed by their own success or are hamstrung by a lack of funds to buy supplies and ingredients. These are the growing pains of young businesses. More often, however, I imagine the problems to be more macro than micro, and in no way the fault of the vendor.

One of the major issues is supply chain problems. Artisan juices often use unique flavorings made by very small specialty companies (as opposed to using more "ordinary" flavorings from LorAnn, Capella's, FlavourArt, etc.). Whether the juice is manufactured to the vendor's specification/recipe or made directly by the vendor in its own facility (lab/kitchen), sourcing the more specialized ingredients is often a bottleneck. Having to wait on a single back-ordered flavoring concentrate means that no juice gets made until that flavoring arrives, no matter how many customers want the juice or how much the vendor would like to sell it. Examples of production delays and limited availability include Boba's by AlienVisions, of course, but also RY4 by BackwoodsBrew and Bounty Hunter by NiteLiteVapor.

Similarly, if a certain flavoring is no longer made, sold, or changes flavor (which happens often), the vendor must then come up with a replacement. Sometimes this is not possible (meaning that the overall flavor of the juice can't be replicated) and even wildly popular juices are discontinued. Examples: BWB Mocha Café---gone. NLV Goldrush and U.S. Marshal---gone.

In the years ahead, this problem is likely to expand and worsen significantly as the global economy goes down and commercial infrastructures fracture, causing supply chains to be seriously disrupted.

I just tried again 1 minute ago...again I get, no active payment system available, so once again...no Bobas for me. I'll be up late so I'll try again later.

How about NOT letting me add it to my shopping cart if it's not available...teasing me with that one, they could easily post next to the options on the juice page...NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME and approximately the time when 12 of us might get lucky.

I get the mom & pop thing and keeping overhead manageable, but when one of your products is in way higher demand than probably all your others combined you make it available 24/7, I repeat...just put more ingredients in the vat and more Bobas comes out, not brain surgery, seems like a bunch of revenue going elsewhere, like when I couldn't get it and ordered Ikenvape RY4 Gold...by the way, a very very nice juice, I'll buy it again for sure.

Here's the news Retird...right off their site, am I missing something here ?

Today is the 27th and according to this news the end date was 2 days ago.

Sale and reopening Info
22 Dec 2011, 5:09 PM
We will be holding a sale starting Dec 23rd and continuing on until the 25th to bring you 20% off select e-liquids. We hope everyone is able to cash in on these savings while they last. We will be truncating orders to a level equal to what we can manage each day. I suspect the sale will only be available for a short while the first few days and we will consider extending the sale if need be to get everyone taken care of.

you need to calm down and read. ben (alien visions) clearly explains the holiday sale on the main page. he states that they are running a 20% off sale and that he will run it long enough for everyone to get their orders in. ave has a daily transaction limit (again, a limitation of being a small business) and once this limit is hit his web site cannot process anymore payments for the day.

try to place your order again at 12pm CST. it will go through, and you will be happy when the juice shows up in your mailbox.

AVE is not the only vendor with these types of issues, as mentioned above. go try to buy some juice from KBV, or BH from NLV, or RY4 from BWB.

The latest News talks about a sale starting December 23-25 at 20% off. I saw nothing about tonight or 20% off starting at midnight tonight. Cart is ready to check out and ... Sorry, but there is no active payment system.

This would have been my first order, also. Maybe one day, but not tonight. I was going to pay full price instead of staying up.

I agree with you on the stuff that is constantly out of stock because they just don't make enough. I will never understand why they would leave so much money on the table? Anyway's AVE is normally good with keeping stock. From October up until Thanksgiving Bobas was in stock the hole time. I ordered it several times and so did a few of my buddies I pointed that way so you couldn't have been looking during that time. If you read their website you would know why it is in limited supply the last month as it is all on the front page. His wife got sick. I am not real sure what but it was very serious so with it being a family business it is totally understandable.
